I know if mentioned it before but Rupert snuggling asleep on my shoulder is the greatest thing even and I wish he would start doing it more than 10 minutes before I need to get up in the morning. Listening to him purr then just breathe is so sweet.

Sometimes the ashwagawndah is not enough to help me fall back asleep in the morning and I need the Deep Sleep Podcast set to my tried and true sound “cozy fireplace and snowstorm.” Only problem this morning was the strong competition from the birds. Now I’m just really tired.

I don’t understand this dork’s appeal at all and I really hope this takes him down.

I seem to have gone from wanting my birthday to pass with no fanfare at all to going to Minneapolis for the Royals/Twins Prince game (finally, I’ve wanted to go to the Prince game for years) 10 days before my bday, a party at the new Big Grove in PV the day b4 and a spa visit w/my sis the day of.

Also, she and Rupert are my birth-children and Greyson is my adopted son. This is now cannon.

I’m sure they are taking public funds for it. Stadiums downtown work fine in places with close public transportation but I’ve seen how backed up traffic gets in StL, Detroit, Boston after games and I have no desire to sit in that. I don’t even like doing it in KC.

I find it super shitty that when voters in Missouri say no to something that the state or municipality just moves forward with it anyway. I mean, at least Kansas City was allowed to vote on the Royals (they voted no, btw), people in Kansas didn’t get that opportunity regarding the Chiefs.

I’m 100% a hater. I’ve experienced the pain in the ass downtown baseball in a city with no public transportation is.

Like if you stayed in your fucking lane maybe you could get shit done and not work like 8-8. But now I’m confused about who is doing it because the director thanked me and said she appreciated it via IM but she also gave the WWIMW a heart reaction to her saying she’d do it.

Ugh. Had to take one for the work team today. The dept needs someone to submit monthly dept successes to leadership and, of course, the Woman Who IMs Wolf (who just got back from PTO) volunteered. She’s so “overworked” she can’t get her own shit done. WTF? So I IM’d the director and said I’d do it.

I suppose that’s one way to say you’re the king of handies.

That was my one saving grace. Thank goodness for all the cruising my parents do.

For sure. The crux of our conversation back in the day was when women go out they dress to look good so other women don’t cut them down or make fun of them. That’s why getting compliments from random women on the street or out for the night is such a big deal.

Oh yeah, of course we do. Women are amazing but we have lizard parts of our brains too. We can both critique the athlete and their style. Why wouldn’t we? Again, the players aren’t dressing for men, they are dressing to look good for themselves and to not be made fun of by other women.
