I live in Seattle, and I can attest to this. Many homes in and around Seattle are around 1 mil unless you want a fixer upper. Most of the time you don't even get a real yard. I love paying a ridiculous mortgage to hear my neighbor sneeze.
My plan has backfired.

I like to view it from an anthropology standpoint. Any one persons philosophical take is going to be biased towards their culture and known histories.
In other words, Philosophy is more interesting when trying to understand *why* someone came up with a theory rather than the theory itself.
