Our paper “Mind the gap: Linking refactorings and code smells in Elixir” has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Software: Evolution and Process. It will soon be open access (thanks to CAPES + Wiley), meaning free and legal access for everyone! #ElixirLang #Refactoring #CodeSmells
Please send an email to team@elixirpatterns.dev, and we'll email you the latest version, just to be sure.
But whenever we have a new version (which is just errata these days), we email customers about it.
Hey #ElixirLang folks! Here's a little something I've been working on. I'd love some early stage feedback. dux.now

You could already run Livebook in Linux since day 1.
But this makes it even easier: just a single install that includes everything (Elixir, Erlang/OTP).
Livebook desktop now supports Linux!

⚠️ Tiny soft-launch ⚠️
I built a devcontainer that makes it safe(-er) to run Claude Code with "--dangerously-skip-permissions" for Elixir/Phoenix projects and it comes with Tidewave too! It's based on Anthropic's reference but made safer and tailored to #ElixirLang

> to have a standard dev container that designers could spin up fully in the browser, with access to Tidewave Pro + Claude/Codex/whatever,
We considered that and asked our Discord community for feedback, but most people wanted code review instead.
So, we'll see. But it would be pretty cool!

The Nerves Starter Kit prototype (right) and the Goatmire name badge (left). The starter kit screen is 50% larger, with higher resolution. They're running the same software, but the starter kit text is smaller due to the higher resolution
Nerves starter kit prototype front view. It has a black 3D printed frame
The Nerves Starter Kit prototype side view. There are two arms that can attach to the back which tilt the display up at a 15° angle. The stand can be removed, and instead the whole device can be wall mounted for a picture-frame like experience instead
I had the pleasure of revealing some of the latest updates for the Nerves Starter Kit project last night at the monthly @nervesmeetup.eu! There were some really good discussions, and I definitely woke up today really energized from the feedback we got :)
