Swift Playground 4.7 is out!
Swift Playground 4.7 is now available.
🔭 Supports Swift 6 and the iOS 26 SDK.
🧊 Liquid Glass!
I’m happy to see that the project is still active. While it has needed updates, there’s still a lot to add. Let’s see how it progresses after this release. Perhaps version 5? 🤔
Hey Apple developers! App Review stays open through the holidays, but heads up: they're expecting high volume from Dec 19-26, so reviews will take longer than usual.
Got a time-sensitive app? Better submit it soon!
#iOSDev #Swift #AppStoreConnect
I missed some fresh Swift Playground news, but hope’s still alive.
Today I attended Apple’s developer meetup in Madrid for the #WWDC25 highlights. We covered Machine Learning, Apple Intelligence, Foundation Models, visionOS 26, new App Store publishing tools, and the stunning new Liquid Glass design. A privilege to be part of it!
Liquid Glass is here to stay. #WWDC25
Today's the day! #WWDC25 #SleekPeek 🎉
Crayon-style drawing of a boy sliding down a playground slide while holding an iPad, on lined notebook paper.
Swift Playground on iPad is my favorite way to code. Sure, it’s still missing some features and iCloud can be a pain, but it’s still an awesome setup for making iOS apps. 🛝 ♥️
After 18 months of gestation, Godot and SwiftUI had a baby!
Xogot is out now on the AppStore:

Jolting something quick in Swift Playground. Soon I’ll add some interactivity. SwiftUI is a fantastic thing! ♥️
This! But mostly the third point. 🤞
Just got my hands on “Make Something Wonderful: Steve Jobs in his own words” by the Steve Jobs Archive and LoveFrom!
Super happy to have a physical copy, even though you can read it online or download it for free on Apple Books.

Hahahaha! Best comment ever! 👏 🥽
Thank you for your presentation. It was great! 🙌
Third-party feed subscriptions, you’ll be missed. 🪽
Apple has officially confirmed that third-party feed subscriptions have been removed in Swift Playground 4.6. To adapt to this change, I’ve redesigned my Playgrounds page! Save them in the iCloud folder. 😉

Matt Patenaude (manager for the Swift Playground app at Apple) casually mentioned that the app has one fewer letter in its name.
Remember: from now on it’s Swift Playground, not Playgrounds anymore. ✨
Woooow! I want one. 🙌
Good luck with the event.
And this is how the new document-based app’s launch scene looks in an iPad mini. 😉
Technically app version support is up to iOS 18.1, though we’re already at 18.3. Otherwise, it feels the same as before. 🤷♂️
Swift Playgrounds 4.6 is out! 🚀
✅ New document launch experience
✅ Finally supports folders to organize playgrounds
✅ Swift 6 support (strict concurrency disabled)
❌ No Swift Testing (library missing)
❌ Third-party feed subscriptions are gone!
A really cool #Severance balloon generator.

We are still waiting for the new Swift Playgrounds. They updated the document app style for Pages, Keynote and Numbers apps as demo in WWDC. Let’s see how this goes.
