SHUT UP ABOUT CLAWDBOT
“I win. Google me.”
I'm optimistic about AI, but I think the most devout believers (ones who think humans won't write code again) should note the industries they work in before making that declaration.
It's helped in mine, but nowhere close to full replacement any time soon.
There used to be a time where you could put an iOS device in Low Power Mode and it was still perfectly usable.
iOS 26 makes it the worst experience ever.

"The U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify the swastika — an emblem of fascism...linked to the murder of millions of Jews and the deaths of more than 400,000 U.S. troops...as a hate symbol...Instead, the Coast Guard will classify the Nazi-era insignia as “potentially divisive”"

A prompt in Discord with two buttons: - Start Earning Orbs - Maybe Later
One day you’ll open an app you use once a week and get a prompt to do the most incomprehensible thing ever.
DAVID! Would you be willing to donate unused, recyclable cloth?! DAAAAAVID!
Two Espresso windows on Mac OS X. One showing some sample HTML and the other showing CSS. Both use a light mode theme.
To this day, no code editor has come close to looking as good as Espresso did.

I *love* the way DHH is promoting Omarchy on omarchy.org. A 35+ minute tour of the best aspects. No over-produced sizzle reel.
Just a single person walking you through why they love it and why he thinks you'll also love it. Feels like the Jobs-led WWDC days.
I think it’s finally time to mute the Bears talking heads. I’m just going to watch football instead of listening to people talk about it.
You know it’s bad when I’d rather suffer through Bears football.

“IMO Livewire takes Blade to the next level. It's basically what Blade should be by default. 🔥” - Taylor Otwell, Creator of Laravel
My take is:
- The experience is very additive and builds upon existing Blade knowledge. No penalty when not using it
- The performance increases from Blaze should be part of core
- It fits the "batteries included" mantra of Laravel where everything you need is ready
- The man himself agrees!
🌶️ I don't think Livewire should be a separate package any longer. I think it should just be part of Laravel/Blade 🫣
Incomprehensible Discord offer(?) stating I have "Orbs" waiting if I take a 30 second Intro Quest.
take me there
I can’t get the stupid AI generated “Don’t Tap the Glass” song out of my head.
Initial reaction to iOS 26 and macOS 26 designs now that I'm running them:
- iOS: Mostly positive, some gripes
- macOS: 😬
This is not a joke, either. ChatGPT uninstalled Recoil, installed Jotai, and updated my code before I could finish getting coffee.
New favorite AI agent task: This NPM package is abandoned. Uninstall it, and convert my usage of it to [new library that will likely be abandoned in 6 months].
New Tyler?!
If I had to guess the most profitable, but bug-ridden game franchise, it would easily be Madden. Every menu option you select feels like a network request to the ends of the earth and back. You get an error every time you put your PlayStation to sleep and wake it up in any menu tree.
This is why there is massive distrust of home automation devices. The company you bought them from can simply and irrevocably decide to stop supporting the entire "automation" part.
Unless you have an exception you'll soon have tiny tech "bricklets" doing...nothing.
