This is HUGE. Congrats to the Volkswagen workers and our @uaw.org family in Chattanooga on ratifying their first union contract.

This is an inspiring and historic milestone for working people in the South. Workers are hungry for strong union contracts and respect on the job!

We’ve not used #Xitter for over a year, and last week closed our accounts completely.
It’s a cess pit and anyone who is still there should be ashamed of themselves.
Get off now before your moral compass is completely rusted away.

‘Why is it always workers and communities that have to pay?’ ENERGY giants will be taxed less as a New Year’s Day fuel price cap increase hits young families and disabled people the hardest during a cold snap, campaigners have warned.Average bills will rise despite falling wholesale prices, while a swathe of cold health alerts is in force across Britain.Today’s 0.2 per cent increase to Ofgem’s energy price cap will equate to a rise of about 28p a month for the average household in England, Wales and Scotland remaining on a standard variable tariff.

Heating and electricity bills will rise again this winter while energy companies continue to rake in obscene profits.

Why is it always workers and communities that have to pay? These are the wrong choices when there is an overwhelming case for owning energy ourselves.
