I created a voice control for OBS using Vosk. I use it to verbally change my scenes. It can do more,too, because of using obs-cmd in the script I have for it.

SB in windows uses Windows voice recognition, which is why it doesn't work in Linux. What do you use voice recognition for?

I now have OBS voice activation on linux using Vosk and scripts. Proper voice commands with obs-cmd, along with proper OBS scene naming, is the key. All my scenes change with very little repetitive voice command. I'm using a wake word, computer, to help improve the voice commands.

I found a SpeakerBot replacement for Linux, Speekaboo. It works with Pipper-tts.

I use Bottles to run Streamerbot now. When I first tried SB I installed it with directions on the SB site. Either way some things don't work. What issues have you run into?

I'm repurposing my old Galaxy S2 tab to be a deck for Streamerbot. The deck is a web page that you sign into and will remotely connect to your streamerbot. It has room for many many buttons. With it I will be able add more automation to my controls and supplement my TouchPortal on my Lenovo tab.

These functions replace the AutoStart plugin I have on my Windows 11 OBS for my Linux setup.

I completed my start up and shutdown scripts. I can now start TouchPortal, Social Stream Ninja, YouTube Music (all AppImages), StreamerBot (Bottles), and the StreamerBot Chat Web page (Chrome WebApp) all at the tap of a desktop button. All the programs cleanly shut down at the tap of a button.

I am using the Bottles install. What functionalities are you missing? There are a few for me. Chat doesn't work for me, no voice recognition, no c# editing window and no speakerbot are what I am missing.

In my 10 years on Linux I never had the need to create bash scripts. I've used them but never created them, until now. I've created bash scripts to run voice profile changes in EasyEffects to use with Streamer.bot and OBS. Reason, can't use VSTs in OBS because of Wayland-CEF issues.

Today there was a change to my home schedule, which threw off my streaming schedule. Tux Tuesday for this week will be rescheduled, probably on Friday. So Tux Tuesday Friday? I'm also having difficulties with being clever today 😞

My EndeavourOS Gnome Desktop

This is my Linux EndeavourOS Gnome desktop, Can you say, "Extension Crazy!"

BTW, I now run Endeavour OS, an Arch based Linux system, on 3 laptops and my desktop. I am running the Gnome desktop on the desktop pc and my wife's laptop. The other 2 laptops are on the XFCE desktop. I had streamed on Endeavour early last year, so I am very familiar with it.

Reinstalled Endeavour with the Gnome desk top. It all works. Ah, I'm home. I am now teched out for the next few days.

I was going to go with Zorin OS but, gawd, I hate the installer. After 15 minutes I was still waiting for Zorin to start the USB live session. Decided to go back to Endeavour with kde, since I heard how "good" kde is now. Maybe for others but not for me. The login screen with 3 monitors issue.

Well, the first big Windows 11 update of the year I installed 1/15 is causing issues on my system, need to uninstall update KB5074109. Then a big update on Pop Cosmic borked the system, no boot. Decided to move on from Pop, even though I really like the new desktop I find it's still not ready.

Waiting to see if @f15y.com shows up on Don Lemon Live while Don is in Minneapolis.
