The recurring reluctance to outline just how profoundly disappointed CLR James was with Nkrumah's governance seems like a disservice to his intellectual memory.

My original source work on Edson Sithole, coupled with analysis and biographical narrative is apparently now out!

I've only read the original edition and while a fantastic account of her childhood and the horrors of the colonial state, I found the record of her political activity as an adult rather underwhelming.

Edson Sithole would have turned 90 today; Zimbabwe's second black advocate after Herbert Chitepo. My book project to recover more than two dozen of his writings & speeches and tell his biographical story will hopefully see publication this year.

I had a fantastic time. Was a delight to be a part of it.

Now I just have to muster the patience to wait for publication!

Suppose it shouldn't be surprising to see this think tank advertising a blatant 'push poll' on social media, but still, it's not what I'd expect their money to be spent on.
