Not a bad thing. Make your world in such a way that getting lost is fun. This is one of the things I like about BethSoft's RPGs (and others): Ignore the quest marker, and have your own adventure.

Volgens mij hebben heel veel zaken helemaal geen cloud nodig, maar kunnen zonder veel moeite draaien als een containertje in k8s-like of desnoods een als VM in een proxmox-like.
Maar "we zitten toch al in de cloud X, dan moet de rest ook daar in". Dus ook vendor-neutral deployment strategie.

Ook binnen de verschillende overheidsorganisaties is gedeelde ontwikkeling een onmogelijkheid. Wij zijn een heel klein team, en data vanuit onze software wordt op andere plekken ook gebruikt. Daar hebben ze weer eige developers die viewers voor deze data ontwikkellen.

Je maakt een goed punt. Mijn vorige werkgever leunde enorm op open source, en muv mijn rebelse activiteit werd er niet terruggeven aan de projecten waarop we leunde.
Nu werk ik voor een ZBO, de software die we maken leunt ook volledig op OSS. En daar zien deze projecten ook praktisch niks van terug.
