I think linears don't really need more describing because the feel of the switch for the entire travel doesn't change. Tactiles and clickies have variety in how and when the bump/click occurs.

but linear switches active like half way down the travel distance. My main issue with linears is that I stop pressing them before they even activate. With clickies and tactiles that never happens because if you don't hear/feel the switch then it's not pressed enough.

how do you feather an input if the whole travel length of the switch feels the same?

can someone explain the appeal of linear keyboard switches? Why would I want a keyboard switch where you can't feel/hear the reset point?

Well so far the biggest stability challenge for overclocking the 250K+ is the 3Dmark Firestrike GPU test....
