One of the most fun trivia nights I've experienced- thank you for organizing it and being an excellent Quizmaster. The questions were perfect.

Ok. I'm coming to this conference every year as long as I have funding. Super diverse panel selection, deep thinking pedagogy presentations, fascinating research being shared, and such a good-natured vibe all round. #SWPACA

#SWPACA is excellent. So far I have attended a panel on AI which was electrifying and so necessary for our current "ed tech moment." And a panel of brilliant undergrad and grad students doing queer, intersex, trans, archival research. An auspicious start to a huge conference.

What a joyful struggle: there are too many panels I wish to attend, of course running concurrently, and my time turner license has expired.

Chunks... We could say chapters. But that would involve terrifying, book-like implications 😄

So, my research right now is divided into chunks. Life writing and pop culture together constitute one of the biggest chunks. So you can imagine how totally excited I am for the SW Popular | American Culture Assoc. Conference this week. It's STACKED with juicy panels.

Looks like the IOC dislikes the Ukraine almost as much as it dislikes trans people, queer people, people of color, and anyone not dripping in wealth.

Cao Cao Power Hour's account has vaguely gestured toward its credentials in its bio. Nothing we say that makes sense to learned people will make sense to that particular user. Lacks the higher level processing capacity.

How much progress have we not made because bad behavior was overlooked, "given grace," or excused away? How much incredible, thought-provoking, or just plain fun art have we missed out on because we just couldn't fathom a world without Woody, Roman, and Bill?

Yes. This. I've been thinking a lot about individual exceptionalism, this idea that somehow it would be a "tragic loss" if even the hugely talented were held accountable. The truth is everything would be better. Another huge talent would take their place. And we'd lose so much less talent to the 🍆🧟‍♂️🧟‍♂️
