I would consider a date with this man but I would definitely cover my drink.

Wow, that took a lot of prompting for the AI to consider that you’re female! You even told it, and it still defaulted to male!
Just tell me when it’s over. Who else doesn’t enjoy April Fool’s day?

We’re not meant to be cooped up inside all day with fluorescent lights burning a hole in our retinas. Exercise is a sensory need.

Please stop judging yourself so harshly! If you’ve noticed your focus wander even once, you’ve meditated! Go easy on yourself.
You cannot replace the soul, the life, or a real work of art created by a real human artist. They can try, but they never will.
Hello, fellow neurospicies! Just a reminder that there’s nothing in the meditation rule book that says you can’t use a fidget while you meditate. Go ahead and make that accommodation for yourself. 🧠 🌶️
What’s one accommodation you wish your employer would make for you?
You’re welcome!

Hats off to you, sir.

Thank you. This fixes everything. 🙃
So when you feel utterly shattered, let the emotion flow through you. Don’t fight it. Don’t hold on. Feel it. Let it move, and it will pass. Don’t turn your river to concrete.
Sure, I don’t love the idea of the things and people I love changing. But I do love knowing that one moment of overwhelm can flow through me if I let it.
One bad moment doesn’t ruin my day anymore, and this is what mindfulness has taught me.
We let one bad moment stick to us like gum on a shoe instead of just peeling it off and moving on. But movement and change are the nature of things. And for me, that’s comforting.
We squeeze into jeans from a decade ago, ignoring the one button barely clinging to life. We smear cream on our faces, hoping to erase every line. We replay old arguments in the shower, crafting the perfect comeback for a fight that ended days, weeks, or even years ago.
We’re like rivers, not statues. Our emotions flow from good to bad to neutral in mere moments—but only if we let them. And yet, we live in a world obsessed with freezing ourselves in time.
I used to see myself as something fixed—like a statue in the town square, covered in pigeon poop but still stubbornly holding the same pose. But our bodies, our lives, and especially our emotions aren’t meant to stay the same.
This is what I tell myself when I get too attached to an emotion. In this case: sheer panic and the distinct feeling that my soul was being juiced like a sad, overripe orange.
You see, he absolutely HAD to have his toy toaster, and taking it away for the 20-foot walk to the door was a mistake I would pay for dearly.
As he writhed in my arms, sending sonic shockwaves straight into my brain, I muttered: "Don’t turn your river to concrete."
"Don't turn your river to concrete." That’s what I told myself this morning as my toddler flailed like a possessed octopus and screamed bloody murder into my ear while I dropped my eldest off at camp.
Isn’t that the truth.
This is beautiful!
🤩 Happy PiDay!
I use the pomodoro method too! My PC has a timer built right in with an alarm for the start of focus period and breaks. I take 15-min breaks after 30 minutes of focused work. Works for me!
