Not a movie but the way Black Summer is shot is encapsulating the terror of being chased by zombies really well. Havent watched the 28 years later though so i do have some catching up to do
No airbrush here. The process was more less:
- brown undercoat
- dark metallic heavy drybrush
- a little piece of makeup sponge to pick out the armor plates with grey and then little orange accents
- purple oil wash EVERYWHERE
You can really achieve nice smooth transitions with a makeup sponge

Mechsploitation? You mean Goondam?
A convoluted figure of a floating mech - with a large flat object where the head and upper torso would be, and reactor cylinders on the back like a wing. Main colour of its armour is rich red, with teal accents. The reactor tubes are dirty white, with concerning red glow in a few places.
View directly from the front. It is armed with a vicious-looking spear. The spear glows a bit as well.
View from the left. The reactor tubes are attached to an elaborate contraption protruding from the back under the flat red "head".
Size comparison photo featuring Genetor, massive tank-like mech. They are roughly the same height, but Theaboros looks significantly more fragile.
