Trump advisers think the age of imperialism ended because of wokeness, not because 1) colonized peoples made colonialism untenable 2) technology made territorial empire unnecessary. They thought mere brutality and perceived genetic superiority would make wars against countries like Iran easy.

I must say my small pet project is looking pretty good already! github.com/maesoser/log...
Over the last few years, American tech oligarchs have become the greatest argument against their own existence.
The sheer scale of their erratic behavior and political interference proves that extreme wealth concentration is a structural threat to society
Bluesky is so cool once you start following the right people for you.
I wanted a centralized log observability platform for my homelab, so I built a syslog aggregator with a bit of help from Claude.
A small daemon collects local syslog messages, aggregates them, and periodically sends them to a central logtail instance via standard POST requests.
"Female-initiated disruption of a male hierarchy incites hostile behaviour from poor performing males who stand to lose the most status".
I know it sounds far-fetched (with this administration is anything truly off the table?) but the U.S. orchestrating a false flag operation, much like the sinking of the USS Maine in Cuba, would be...
how lucky I am to have so much to lose
Watching Americans stop falling for US propaganda is a lot like watching a child take their first steps. You gotta cheer the fact that they walked on their own for 3 seconds and ignore the part where they immediately ate shit head first into the coffee table.
“As the hype dies down, Moltbook looks less like a window onto the future and more like a mirror held up to our own obsessions with AI today. It also shows us just how far we still are from anything that resembles general-purpose and fully autonomous AI.”

The stack is dead simple thanks to Cloudflare
• Interface: A simple chat
• Coordination: Durable Objects
• Storage: R2 for daily markdown files and D1 for metadata and future search capabilities.
The AI parses my daily noise and extracts the actual insights into a daily Markdown file.
Every time I tried journaling I ended up sounding performative or just plain awkward. But I still wanted to try it.
So, I built an AI-assisted journal app to solve my own friction.
I just vibe-coded something pretty cool that covers a niche need I have, a SOCKS5 proxy that tunnels HTTP/S requests through a WireGuard connection.
The CLI tool is less than 10 MB, and it lets you manage different tunnels/profiles.
“The foundations of American power are rooted in the rule of law at home and credible commitment abroad, the very things that Trump has attempted to dismantle,” write Daniel Drezner and @profsaunders.bsky.social.
Apparently, ZKP seems to be a promising technology to achieve age verification without sacrificing your privacy, right?

There is a quasi-religion in Silicon Valley that views AI as godlike. This faith has always been parallel to Evangelical Christianity: salvation (transhumanism), the rapture (the technological singularity), and demons (Roko's Basilisk)
Lately the AI faith has fully fused with Christian Nationalism.
Surreal statements like this one are severely damaging the EU.
Reckless, shameless and self-defeating.
Thanks to Claude, yesterday I built my first full-stack app! Vite, React, Tailwind CSS, and Lucide used to be strange topics for me, but now I'm starting to understand how they all fit together. It's amazing what you’re able to do with a bit of help from our friends the LLMs.
Just a UI with the percentage of CPU and RAM of the nodes in my homelab.
Finally used that tiny 3.5 inch SPI screen I bought for my Raspberry Pi that was just gathering dust to build a small web app! I kinda like how it turned out. What useful info should I add now? Temperatures? Network throughput?
A massive power outage struck significant portions of Portugal and Spain at 10:34 UTC on April 28, disrupting everyday activities and services. Here's what we observed from Cloudflare Radar:

Los trabajdores de EL PAÍS sacando el periódico con la electricidad mínima posible. Admiración ciega
Phone notifications are a mixed bag for me. I need them for friends' messages, important emails and things like that, but the constant stream of irrelevant alerts is too much. The idea of an LLM to filter them is appealing, despite the worry of missing something important.
I just finished Tomb Raider on the Steam Deck and really enjoyed it. I’ve played many games, Sable, BioShock Infinite, Brothers in Arms, Watch Dogs, Sniper Elite.. and the experience has been absolutely flawless.
I like the design of the CMF Watch Pro, but I really miss a couple of key apps: a calendar app that shows my upcoming appointments, and a simple GPS app that guides me to my destination without needing to check my phone. And while we’re at it, a world clock would be great too.
I really wish I could post on Instagram without having to deal with Reels. Doomscrolling is so bad.
