My 8-yo and 10-yo are super into a bunch of fun sci-fi graphic novel series: HiLo, Astro-Nuts, Catstronauts, Cleopatra in Space, Star Scouts, Zita the Spacegirl, and others I’m sure I’m forgetting.

If you recognize both my coffee cup and my coaster, there’s a good chance we’d be friends. #amwriting

I feel this! Part of it is that I WANT that pile of heavy wool on my lap in the winter…

This is so real, haha. I’ve learned to keep my phone on the counter right next to the shower so I can leap out of there and hurriedly jot down all the dialogue ideas I had before they disappear.

I just discovered #showmeyourknits and this week’s prompt is cables—my favorite! I’m currently writing up (well, when I’m not getting distracted, ahem) the pattern for this baby/child sweater with this fun twisty cable running up the side:

Er... why? It's definitely part of the templates for several yarn companies I've worked with. "Block to desired measurements" instead?

Ohh, that’s so cool!

Good to know! I'm absolutely here for a more realistic look at knit designer life, ha. I'm investigating starter packs now—what a cool idea!

Dipping my toes in here! I miss nice, supportive writer Twitter and nice, supportive Ravelry from 10+ years ago, and this seems like it could potentially be a good replacement for both...?
