Anyone who shows up for this travesty is knowingly choosing to act as a prop for authoritarian kabuki because they’re too cowardly or amoral to pass up vapid schmoozing and free drinks. They deserve your contempt, and possibly a few pieces of rotting produce.

Wooooah, it's actually readable this time!!! Let's GO
Okay, thanks for your input
Part of it is needing to move from a walkable, transit-able city into a suburban hellscape in my parent's house, admittedly, but I've gotta shake off this funk and BE something
I get sad sometimes thinking about how few friends I have but it's like BROTHER BEAR *YOU'RE* THE ONE SITTING ON YOUR ASS ALL DAY SMOKING *WEED*. The call is coming from INSIDE THE HOUSE
I'm daydreaming about going home, smoking some weed, and watching a Youtube video. I'm COOKED brother, I need a fuckin' HOBBY
freak the fuck out and panic sell everything right now
Expand the federal workforce NOW. Another $50 billion to pay raises for federal employees effective immediately
I don't think this is true, the US has plenty of other sources of soft power with which to develop alliances and entice partners globally. Nobody's going to trust us wholeheartedly anymore, I totally agree that Pax Americana is dead, but that's just a change in the nature of the alliance
An intriguing paradox in American politics is that while Democrats are understandably enraged over Trump's absurd war against Iran they also need him to at least eke out a half win for the US.
If it isn't, America's strategic bandwidth will be eaten away by the fallout long after Trump is gone.
We can't credibly say "we value free trade and freedom and (other good things), join up with us and reap the benefits!" but we can say "partner with us and get access to our military equipment/economy/R&D programs"

polling about rising costs. voters mostly blame politicians for fighting rather than working on the issue.
underrated reason our politics are fucked is that voters are morons who think political disagreement is per se illegitimate
Me, studiously ignoring the third "your ADHD med refill is ready" text from my pharmacy: why tf can't I focus on anything?

The glorious peace of replying to someone butting into a conversation with a bad faith interpretation, realizing I simply do not care what they have to say in response, and blocking them
It is a lapse in my poster's bushido, but I am a dishonorable man and have made my peace with it
>we’ve hit the complete chaos, plummeting approval ratings, and endless staff turnover phase of the Trump Presidency
No shade to the Washington State Standard but this isn't really the most pressing issue to come out of Olympia this cycle, and I'm not sure why they're giving headline space to it. ~85k ag. workers (TOTAL, not just farmers) in an economy of 3.8 million

We call that character growth folks. The heroes' journey
Leads me to the horrifying conclusion that "DAE stealing *good*??" might actually register as funny to him
"He's only joking" stopped working as an argument in ~2015 for American politics, sorry to tell ya
That sure does sound like a TV reporter. It's not profiling if it's true!
Sorry man, the PMC is the only one showing the willingness to fight for America as a concept and we have to hand it to them for that
Dying in office because you insisted on clinging to power until the very end instead of letting a new generation of leaders rise should be seen for the shameful, egomaniacal act that it is.
Maybe we do something like the Roman Forum, where it's just the Mall that's federal territory and the rest of DC gets statehood
I've got such a weird relationship with DC statehood, the bureaucrat in me says it's useful to have a federal region that's outside of the state system, the liberal in me says that if we wanted that we shouldn't have let hundreds of thousands of people move there!
