Had Wade and Knuckles been from a completely original series that had no ties to any of the Sonic Movies (meaning the no Pachamak, Robotnik, Sonic & Tails, etc), I think the simple plot of "Small county officer goes on a wacky journey to become a stronger person and fix his Daddy issues with his-
kinda made it stand out to me, and the story (while a bit cheesy and basic with cliche story beats) was still a simple and enjoyable follow tbh, literally the only thing dragging this show down for me is that it was tied to Knuckles which sorta trivialized and convoluted the plot in certain areas
And I mean, that's not a bad thing tbh! Well it is for Sonic fans and the Movie series fs, but as for the show itself, like I said I had a lot of fun with it! I felt like it was very experimental and oftentimes did not have a traditional comedy TV series flow to it like some other shows do which-
Tbh this series really felt like Sonic Movie 1 in the sense that it felt like a show writer's idea that really could not get pitched or greenlit so they just decided to slap a recognizeable and popular IP onto it so it would sell, literally ANYONE could have replaced Knuckles in this show💀
The faces Wade made in this show were actually hilarious asf though like his expressions genuinely got a good laugh out of me at times, like this one for example lol
I just finished binge watching the entire Knuckles show and I gotta say... I enjoyed it! I definitely see why people said they didn't like it though because it really is more of a Wade story than it is a Sonic-based story so in that regard it does suck ass, but regardless it was still fun to watch
