Here’s reason 1.74 million that we live in an extremely sick society. Many state roles supporting business ops are “safe” in that they have paths for things like severance if a layoff occurs. Many roles that do the work of making society less barbaric do not. Grant funded, restricted, no parachute.

Rewatched the Sandlot yesterday. I long for a future that creates safe, walkable spaces with robust park infrastructures that allow kids to play outside all summer safely. Where families know each other and kids can roam and explore. Where “trouble” is easily addressed through relationship.
