They want it to all be "proprietary" so they have a monopoly on the cables for their products. It should all be one universal type so that we are not wasting so many resources on needing new cords every time we get a new device. (Needing new devices is bad enough!)

And it appears that the ones who are not "nuts" are not well versed in immunology or the use of vaccines. Where are the specialists who have a clue?

The only injuries are from the forces going after protesters. (A friend sent me photographs of the injuries he had from the forces. He was just observing and still got hurt by them, including a rubber bullet to the back as he was leaving the area!)

Argent, a violet purpur within an orle of hearts azure.

I have Eilis O'Bourne to thank for this lovely heraldry. She helped me at the herald's table at TYC. Unlike all the tries others had made for me prior to that, hers sailed through without problems. I like it better than any previous attempt.

They have no clue about how hard it is for someone over 65 to find a job. I was getting several interviews a month (for temp jobs) until the month when I turned 65. Suddenly, they stopped cold. Not just for one month, but ever since then. I should have taken Social Security then, but did at 70.

I guess people don't realize that it's a parody with the tattoos being added for fun. (And Biden himself said he has a Corvette, not the Trans Am shown in that photo.)

Sure. We're all going to die...eventually. But we certainly don't want anyone to die when simple medical care can prevent it.

We all do what we can. As I've gotten older, I've realized that where I could do many things in the past, some are now pretty much beyond me. I used to love camping. And we camped from the southern-most parts of the Summits to the northern parts of Tir Righ and throughout Avacal (incl. Saskatchewan)

That's a lovely sunshade. I would be surprised if you couldn't find another Tir Righ (or An Tirian) person who would love to have it (and would even pay you for it.) Then you'd have the funds to make one which matched your persona.

I'm not much of a dog person anymore, but I always enjoyed seeing Bode in your videos and posts. He was obviously a very good dog! Condolences on your loss. May memories bring blessings!

It not only places the burden of illness on the ill, but it opens the door to eugenics, as in "if you're ill, you're a drain on society and so should be eliminated."

Look into the "research" by Hans Asperger if you want to see how that works.

Smoke and mirrors is the con man's stock in trade. "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" since he just wants us to pay attention to things like his Pope and Sith/Jedi memes.

I think that all of us who sew have been through this at one time or another. And being experienced doesn't mean it won't ever happen again. Sadly.

These are our girls, Nefret and Bastet. Sweet long haired tabbies. Bastet has front paws without any white on them. Nefret has white socks on her front paws. (Of course, they've meat-loafed their paws so you can't see them. Nefret has a collar. Bastet does not.)

Cassandra, yes. Paranoid, no.

It's not paranoia if they really are out to get you.

It's about time!!!! All the time and resources that were wasted because of him is unconscionable! (But unfortunately, typical MAGA Republican!)

What is he trying to hide behind the curtain with these smoke and mirror crazinesses?

11 months ago 2 0 0 0

As long as it's not a distraction. I fear that things like his "I want to be pope" are used as smoke and mirrors. "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain."

I have a lot of admiration for Jared Huffman for calling out the Rs for political theatre rather than focusing on critical issues.

That's because it isn't anti-semitism that Trump is trying to stop, but any thoughts or actions that might not be in line with his personal policies. I doubt he really cares about anti-semitism at all. It's critical thinking that he wants to stop, and replace it with his idea of "right thinking."

It would be lovely to get the opportunity to chat with you someday!!

These are great. I love seeing all of the ones that people are putting up. It reminds me of the punning that our high school debate team used to do at parties.

I love clever word play!!!

How fun! Not only do you do natural dyeing but unusual forms of weaving. I wish you lived here in An Tir so I could see these in person!

But orders have already been cancelled. That alone can cause prices to spike because of reduced availability. Some stores are already having problems stocking their shelves.

I thought RFK Jr. wanted to make America healthy again. Eliminating the department that was working on that seems to be counter-productive to his stated mission (as do many of the other departments which were eliminated.)

Getting into cryptocurrency. You can probably also do ponzi schemes of all sorts now.

Or put it through a few more washes. The alum has done its job. It doesn't need to continue to be on the fibre. It could be that the piece you're comparing it to has had that extra washing after being worn.

In another post you mentioned that your alum mordanted fibres had some textural problems. I was talking about alum mordanting with a friend and she said that the texture problems were common. But multiple washes often fixed the problem.
