I've recently been thinking of Cthulhu as a god of artistic inspiration, since the major effect when R'lyeh rises is inspiring dreams. Making that Kthanid works well instead.
I can't think of anything that would scare CoC or Delta Green players more than mysterious San gain.
Good morning to everyone but these poor bastards -R

I was 16 at the time and watched the news daily as well as reading the New York Times each day.
I don't remember race being mentioned at all. The entire coverage was about cult behavior and people being horrified that people would do that on command. There was also coverage of the death of Congressman Leo Ryan.
Very much to each their own taste. I'm glad you introduced me to it, I'm sorry it causes you problems.
Maybe at the music camp Phoebe goes to.
No, it's been really helpful. It's one of the things that I think made it easier to think the way I actually think rather than the way I was told I had to think.
His stuff has never left my thinking and work.
I'm looking at it like a fractal where an initiator is created then a generator is iteratively implanted in the initiator. The iterative mythologizing process required the creation of the object that was mythologized. But the initiator does not on its own imply the fractal, the two together do that.
I'm not looking at intent at the time, but what evolved from the action itself. Creating the Christian bible and mythologizing it are two different actions. But the latter required the former. /1
I doubt they exist. I was dealing with the question of how consenual evangelism could be done in order to make a contrast with the assertion that the non consenual methods used for the last nearly two thousand years were not necessary if the actual goal was communication not force.
True enough.
It removed the concept that instructions have stopping conditions. /2
That is a viable interpretation. I think the problem came about with the creation of the New Testament which took specific documents created at specific times in specific contexts and tried to make them into eternal truths. /1
Since such actions would undermine consent in any other human interaction. Evangelism is a human interaction, no matter how divine its justification and needs to stick to the morals of honest human interactions.
It would also require that the people evangelizing actually shut up and listen to what people are saying. It's not consensual if it's only one way. If the Great Commission relies on force, self righteous ignorance, threats, or con artistry then it cannot be consensual.
As near as I've been able to figure it. Consensual evangelism would require setting up a place where people can come and hear about what the evangelist wants to talk about. This place cannot use any other inducements (like food or a place to sleep or medicine) and cannot use force in any fashion.
I'm shocked, shocked I tell you to find evidence of misogyny among male biblical interpreters.
That was always my assumption.
I think this just makes sense in general and not enough people think about this when cooking or eating.

I think the dragons are the obvious component that makes Ozy and Milo fantasy rather than a story of two kids. I think there is more than just the dragons. The fate of Ozy's mother, the origin and truth of Milo's father. These are also fantasy elements.
That makes it easier to see works as fantasy, but it's not necessary. I personally write very weird fantasy without any of the standard components.
Ozy and Milo yes. Phoebe and her Unicorn.yes. Humorous fantasy is fantasy. Phoebe and her Unicorn is hidden world fantasy. Ozy and Milo is an alternate universe fantasy.
I've been on a lot of those kinds of panels. You'd fit right in.
