Oh happy day! Congratulations!

Met a friend to grab coffee and check out the pelicans at the dam. Wonderful way to start the day and week!
something about how living as a sick person means necessarily living through time outside of linearity, illness predicating stops and starts, yet being expected to (impossibly) subvert that lack of cohesion and then being faulted for not adhering to expectations of unimpeded time.
image shows green binary text on a black background, Matrix style, with an orange silhouette of an ape; red text reads #APEFEST "Don't look at the ape!" I made the cover image with stock, a bunch of effects, and this public domain artwork: https://artvee.com/dl/gorilla-2/
Do you like found footage horror? With a cosmic bent?? Well. 💀My flash fiction #ApeFest is now live (it's alive... alive!!!!) at @gavagai.com !

In environments where vulnerability is mocked or dismissed, people learn to conceal the feeling. They may become fluent in productivity while losing touch with their inner weather.
Folks, I posted this during the great bluesky outage of this week and it went away. This lovely young person is raising funds to help school children in Ghana get to school. I personally know her dad, Eddie of Eddie's Teddies. Donate or share if you can please. gofund.me/631e704aa
The view out an airplane window at night. The cityscape below streams with light. Past the blinking lights of the wingtip a violet orb hangs in the sky accompanied by a smaller version of it above and to the right. The moons (the orbs) are partially obscured by wispy clouds.
Here is a close up of the "moons" which were not visible to the naked eye and are, seemingly just bokeh effects. It looks like it could be the moon repeated with a slightly smaller orb above and to the right of the other. They both have bright arcs on the bottom left, as if they are waning crescents, which is right for the night I took the picture. Both are a red violet color that is definitely unnatural for the moon.
This is an unedited photo taken as we were climbing out of Minneapolis late Tuesday. It looks so scifi and even AI sloppy, but it is just bokeh effects caused by taking the picture out the airplane window while moving quickly. Second picture focuses on the double moons.
I hate the Gemini icon at the bottom of my google docs. It blocks my view and I’m never going to use it because the suggestions it proposes are always wrong.
I wanted to share a note about a wonderful young person who is raising funds in partnership with Eddies Teddies. I personally know Sesi's dad. If you can, donate or share so we can help reach Sesi's goal of helping children at Kafedel Academy in Ghana get to school.

15 days left to submit to Issue 13, which we are taking to calling our cursed issue. Limited space left, so the sooner the better
Fuck Platner and fuck everyone who keeps pushing him on us. He’s trash. It’s not complicated.
The microwave is kiki and the fridge is bouba
The absence of influential nuns in his life is screamingly palpable.
unglazed ceramic figure of a camel absolutely screaming, every tooth visible, eyes bulging, neck swiveling. he has a saddle and two riders who are absolutely tiny, this must be a camel the size of a large elephant, but apparently that doesn't make it feel any better
this ceramic camel has some faded stain on the festive blanket that is its saddle and like 8 figures are riding on its back, possibly explaining the absolute screech to the heavens it is letting out
this glazed and colorful camel is doing a prouder, more defiant scream, but a scream nonetheless, and the slightly more lifelike color makes you feel like you're staring right down its powerful gullet while it screams and screams forever
final camel is mostly unglazed with a few shiny touches that bring out the highlights in its fur and its absolutely unfathomable need to scream
hey how's everyone tod-
just kidding there's only one mood forever now and it's tang dynasty tomb figure of a camel
Thank you again. 50/500 I'm trying to get the money I need for April, and in March I received 117 out of 500. I need money for food and hygiene items. Please help. I'm a disabled enby helping my disabled mom I don't get much from SSI/snap everything helps PayPal.me/Ambelies or cash.app/$ambelies
Oh no, lots of folks in my circle are having falls lately! I even fell off my porch on Friday. (No lasting injury) I wonder if it’s because we get more active in the spring?
Local transit is up and running again, so I think we’re in the clear for now. Fingers crossed that we don’t have any more excitement tonight.
It’s my mom’s birthday so I spent most of my time talking to her while in the basement. I hope the muscle relaxer helped you.
We’re okay and I think Yoshi has forgiven me for locking him up.
The bunnies are out and about in my front yard so I think the danger has passed. But the watch is set to end at 10.
Yes, we’re okay. It got kind of noisy for a bit, maybe some hail?
Having heard the tornado sirens, I’ve secured myself and the cat in the basement. The cat feels betrayed and is making sure I know it.
That sounds marvelous! I hope the week goes fast for you.
Since my autism is invisible, I experience ableist microaggressions most days for failing to meet neurotypical standards. I’m grateful to publish poems a/b the painful reality of autistic masking, as well as the anti-autism rhetoric that plagues academia.

It's a new story day! "The Metamorphosis" is my heart story, about how turning into an invisible sloth is a Kafkaesque metaphor for getting ME/CFS or Long Covid, but you can still find a path to a happy ending.

Cover of The Ghastling magazine, Book 23 "Tales of Ghosts, The Macabre, and the Oh-So Strange". Against a mottled gray background, is a black and white drawing (or possibly block print) of a gargoyle sitting pensively, a red sun in the distance behind one wing. At the bottom of the cover, the stories authors are listed, including yours truly, Allison Pottern at the from of the list!
See my name all tiny at the bottom! My Ashkenazi ghost story "Soul Candle, Living Light" found the perfect home in UK penny-dreadful-style mag The Ghastling alongside other spooky tales. Look at this gorgeous cover! And it's fully illustrated!

I’m so happy for you, Bogi! Totally deserved!
You poor thing. I’m so sorry. You’re suffering longer from that fall than I am.
