Get started with Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Support Training: Microsoft Teams is a collaboration app built for hybrid work to help you and your team stay informed, organized, and connected. Learn how in this video.

The Microsoft Support pages are normally quite good support.microsoft.com/en-us/office... I see what else I can find as I do a lot of it through talking to people…my biggest issue is when people create Teams when a group chat would be more effective…

Map view of my soup and a medium sized round spoon. Not perfectly round but less pointy than the other spoons.

This is the only spoon of this shape/size in the office kitchen. So I had to claim it. The other spoons are not as good…

How to we respond (we have to)
- clarity to students (and staff) with clear policy and guidance. How can we respond through scholarship e.g. Action research

Who is most likely to get ahead in a policy vacuum? Whose responsibility is it to master AI? Who sets the direction of AI use and guidance?
Learning is relational and maybe we need to rethink how we create these relationships along the learning journey.

Is the curriculum still up to date for 2026? Are learning outcomes limiting us (HE does move slowly sometimes) what should be assessed and how? How do we integrate curiosity better into the learner journey and accommodate fast and slow learning?

Reflection matters: AI is a wicked issue and requires deep reflection. How do students use and engage with AI in certain ways? For example shortcuts (reading) help with writing (want to sound more academic). What does need to change?
Probably a lot - AI has highlighted some systemic issues in HE

Representation deserves nuance - who is talking and who is being included in the AI debate.
Diverse experience deserve diverse solutions and policy development.

First up the keynote from @lydiaarnold.bsky.social reflecting on similarities between AI and the start of the internet. How do we adopt and adapt as HEIs. Legitimate concerns deserve robust evidence! How does our use of AI compare to other technologies. #AISymp26

At the @advancehe.bsky.social AI symposium today. Will be presenting later about adding AI to creative practice to help students overcome the fear of not being creative. I will try and post through the day in this thread. It’s been a while so I might be rusty…#AISymp26

My 2026 Thursday morning “me-time” work version - reading first thing with a coffee and @obsidian.md for notes. At the moment I’m reading @drhelenkara.bsky.social The Handbook of creative data analysis - for my own development and for ideas for new workshops. #ResearcherDevelopment

Using Creative Writing to Combat Imposter Feelings Using Creative Writing to Combat Imposter Feelings We’ve all been there – that nagging voice telling us we’re not quite good enough, that someone will eventually figure out we don…

Ever notice how you're way more supportive of other people's research than your own?
So... what if you wrote about YOUR work as if you were someone else? This rewriting-in-role technique (Claire Coleman) is surprisingly effective for combating imposter feelings.
