it's gray and wet, I'm stuck 9 hours a day in a shed with no human contact, in a body which feels both too hot and too cold. I wish I could just sleep through winter and emerge when it's not so shit.

I build a library app last week for managing my books, and I just can't even be bothered compiling it, because I know I'll hate the code.

I'll build a basic one again tomorrow and see if I can get Codex to add some improvements in my own coding style.

spent all day installing Linux (Fedora 43) on three ancient laptops. it took that long because I couldn't find my USB sticks so was resorting to SD cards + adaptors, which are notoriously unreliable...

eventually found a stick, and everything was much easier after that.
