Managed to create something for Quake's 30th anniversary jam. Quick 3 hour speedmap limited by 96 brushes and 30 monsters.
Happy Birthday! 37+1 goes pretty hard.

Been cooking up a new Quake map for a "Solid Textures Jam."
I tried going for a bit of a skate park feel.
Quake 1 - Never apply ramp clip brush over stairs, even when you think its fine, its not.
I feel like it'd be fruitful to make a list of common design choices regarding things like cameras, controls, accessibility and so on. It's annoying making a game, trying to figure out what is missing from a system you're building and having to play a bunch of games in the same genre to check.

My level design reflect my cultural influences. The Quake modding scene is really good. Lots of lgbtqia+ ppl, anti-AI, we dont judge others and we help each other out, the atmosphere is very welcoming and easy to approach. :3

There's some baked lighting going on here (soon to be a stock feature in UZDoom) which pushes it beyond what you'd expect normally.
Cheese applied on top of the lasagna dish. Ready to be cooked in the oven.
Cooked lasagna straight from the oven. Cheese kept its color really well despite long cooking time.
Here is the Cheese on top! And cooked for 45 minutes.
Ingredients for lasagna while roasting ground beef. Milk, crushed tomato, spices, pasta, grated cheese, sweet bell pepper and onion.
Beef, onion and bell pepper mixed in the pan.
Applying pasta and some salsa sauce to the bottom of it before main sauce.
Chonky amount of lasagna, but it is still missing cheese from the top!
Its lasagna (Doom 2016) cooking time again.

OKAY, So the train you can actually go in (and where the map ends) is done , so i can copy that now if need be.
That was... way too much goddamn work, jesus christ. That was probably not worth it, but alas my hubris compels to commit to so really questionable idea's.
