This series of spooky ghost stories for kids is very, very fun. And Josh has promised me that there are even more spooky ghost dogs inside

Anyway, wasn’t sure who to report him to, so I figured I’d just post about it here. Don’t be too mean to him for it. Maybe just one night in jail

Like, it’s GRASS! Delicious GRASS! I should be ALLOWED to eat as much as I want!

I was eating grass earlier, and he stopped me before I was done. I’m pretty sure that’s a crime

I’ll still post art and updates about Josh, I GUESS, but the primary purpose of this account will henceforth be to acquire information regarding treats, birds, and good spots to dig

It’s been TOO long since I posted some art on here! And I’ve started doodling to avoid looking at the news. So anyway, here’s a Frankenstein lady

Some of the goofy characters that came out of this past Wednesday’s Art Social at @thebentway.bsky.social. This workshop was so much fun to run. Drawing is great, and everyone should do it!

I had a dream last night where I was trying to annoy my friends by claiming that I couldn’t figure out whether snakes evolved from dinosaurs or worms. And in my dream I was doing it as a joke. But now I’m awake and I can’t stop thinking about snake evolution

I won’t be able to participate, but I think this is an absolutely brilliant idea, and everyone who can should do it!!

Agreed! Remembering the fun is really the secret. The act of drawing is always best when it’s exploratory and playful. It’s something I try to remind myself regularly, even as an adult

An x y axis chart showing which muppets would be good vs bad at piloting a gundam and which would enjoy vs not enjoy piloting a gundam. Miss Piggy is highest for enjoying and being good at piloting. Gonzo is highest for enjoyment and lowest for pilot skill.

I needed a second axis for this question.

It’s not a “one size fits all” method, but I find it’s a good way to head some of that self doubt off before it manifests. Try to break students from the thinking that there’s a “right way” to draw

I usually try to start workshops with drawing games or timed drawing exercises. Try to get their hands moving before they have time to start thinking about drawings being “good” or “bad.” And I’ll follow with a group share, where I try to highlight everyone’s different drawing styles and strengths
