Listen I’m not saying starting a new theatre company at the same time as I had a baby was the best idea I ever had - but it was pretty close. This company is going to make some amazing theatre - would love your support to help us start as we mean to go on! www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/timelapse-...
The critically acclaimed musical Cable Street returns to London this winter, following two sold-out runs that captivated audiences
Husband to Dot (aged nearly 3): mama has work to do, so we’re going to go out to make sure she has enough time and space

Always good when your shopping is delivered and you realise one of the eggs is smashed, rotten and the box is full of live maggots… Asda need to sort themselves out!! 🤢
Hey. It’s weird to post on here asking for a favour. But I need a favour. So if you like me or like theatre or both, then have a read of this thread.

Could not be more proud that our company @timelapsetheatre.bsky.social is co-producing this new musical with @newdiorama.bsky.social this winter. What an incredible team.
Standing on the shoulders of giants, but no-one better to do this with than m’colleague @adamlenson.bsky.social Let’s gooooooo!
Precipice is the debut show from Timelapse, created by Stu Barter (Talkshow), Rachel Bellman (These Demons), Darren Clark(Olivier winner for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button), Annabelle Lee Revak (Windsong), Shaye Poulton Richards (Lies All The Way Down), and Adam Lenson (Cable Street).
A darkly funny new musical with a thrilling electro-folk score, Precipice is a story of crisis, humanity, and hope at the edge of disaster.
As the tides rise and the power fails, two timelines converge in a single flat, where yesterday's mistakes become tomorrow's reckonings.
Centuries apart, the residents of a towering high-rise arrive at a crossroads, taking shelter along the riverbank in Greenwich - the place where time begins and the world ends

Wear sunscreen folks. More than you think you need - you can’t have too much but most people wear too little. 😎
climate crisis theatre is not a separate category of theatre bc we are all in the same planetary crisis.
Sometimes you have a stressful day but then your 6 year old asks you how to spell ‘flinging’ and is delighted by the fact it has ‘ing’ twice in a row and that makes everything feel better somehow.
"The people who make great musicals are theatre people. [...]They are as familiar with Little Shop of Horrors (a structural masterpiece) as they are with A Little Night Music. [...]when you think that the same genre houses Sweeney Todd, Hamilton and Grease, these artists are musical supercomputers."
Enjoyed this article this morning, in praise of Musical Theatre and what it can teach opera about the art of telling a story:

An illustration of a red envelope that is addressed to "Fellow Playwrights" and branded as part of the Royal Court's "Writers' Card" on a dark purple background.
This week the Royal Court Theatre significantly expanded our offer to playwrights everywhere. And all you need to do is send us your play.
I've written a letter to playwrights to explain the changes and the thinking behind them.

It’s just so disrespectful of my time - I spent half an hour on WhatsApp with them this morning to confirm correct address, and another half an hour this afternoon on the phone, & now having to leave my children with my husband & go out to get shopping. Just infuriating.
