It feels like when I see "therian" defined online that the definition usually ends up involving some spiritual component, like a religious belief involving a soul that's not human, plus I thought it was related to real animals rather than anthropomorphic ones. But maybe it's a wider umbrella term.

Like, I don't believe that I'm literally a non-human animal trapped in a human body, so the therian label doesn't seem accurate for me; I just sincerely would rather be an anthropomorphic animal than a human at the moment is all, so what's the name for that?

Is there a name for currently wishing that I was an anthropomorphic animal instead of a human but not spiritually believing that I have a non-human soul? I'm not a therian but I would rather be an anthropomorphic animal than human and I'm at a point in my life where I'm sometimes sad that I'm not.

Watched Terrifier 3 because I'm just morbidly curious like that; still has extremely impressive effects and some fun moments, also having... slightly better pacing than the second film, but it often tries overly hard to be edgy and frankly gets way too mean to enjoy at a certain point. Three stars.
