Screenshot of a draft medium post, entitled: "I can't pretend everything will be ok."

The first para reads: "As I write this, the waters of South Australia are choking, but unless you are in Adelaide or paying particularly close attention, you probably missed it."

On the upside, I'm writing again.

On the downside, I'm writing this:

And this why so many 'oldies' still vote LNP. I vaguely remember these times and my parents talking about the hated Labour. Unions and Labour were villains to the Liberal voters. Many of us have modified and changed our voting as the times changed, but many haven't.

This is one cloud over an incredible election. Can someone tell me why Goldstein would want to put Tim Wilson back in? Over Zoe Daniel? Why!

I like mine thrown in the coals, then eat the centre lathered in butter.
I think mine has been thrown in coals this time.

I hear your despair! It mirrors my own. Forward just 20 years the world will be a different place, I'd like to see it but I'm not going to live that long. It's a bittersweet sort of time I'm in now. I'm glad I won't live to see the destruction but I'm sad I won't truly know what will happen.

It's abhorrent, I DONT want religious groups and churches buying or dictating politics, politicians or most importantly influencing public policy of any kind, especially when the woman are chained to the kitchen sink, they don't pay taxes, they don't vote! Keep the fuck out of my democracy Brethren

7 news did a piece on ANZAC Graves in Europe last night. They ignored the Commonwealth grave in Gaza which, after being carefully tended by Palestinians for 100 years, has now been blown to bits by Israel. 260 Diggers lie there.

In many ways…except for the fact he wasn’t a fascist, convicted felon, sexist creep, bully, malignant narcissist who wouldn’t know empathy if it hit him in the face, cheap grifter, compulsive liar, didn’t have fake hair and a fake tan…

You're referring to very small country towns. Fuel is often on par with cities, many petrol stations, 4 major shopping centres + several independent supermarkets that source locally. Electricity we really struggle with, no choice. Plus, it's a pleasant walk or cycle to work.

‘Bordering on incredible’: Coalition under fire for planning to scrap Labor climate policies and offering none of its own With Peter Dutton’s views on climate change in the spotlight, the focus has turned onto whether there will be any policies to reduce emissions in the next decade

The LNP having NO climate policy
is in the same category as a political party having NO defence policy.

Both go to a government's primary responsibility to keep the population safe.

The LNP's criminal negligence on global heating makes them unfit for office.

Yes, I remember Sale Technical well! Great school and very popular with the kids that went there. I was jealous. I was at the High School and it seemed the Tech kids had so much fun.

Indigenous communities were devastated because the Voice was defeated, Mr Dutton, and they and we know it was defeated because of your malicious, dishonest campaign.

The Coalition commits to Christian Nationalism The Republican Party thought it could ride the tiger of the Christian Right: instead, that movement swallowed the party whole.

This is terrifying.

Australians must act to stop this replication of America’s Christian extremist takeover. The Coalition has gifted us the opportunity to bring it out of the shadows.

NEVER vote LNP or Family First.

If you subsidise mortgages by making mortgage interest tax deductible, all you really do is encourage more and larger mortgages. Supply will barely alter, because the building industry is already near capacity.

Effectively you'd be subsidising property developers and property investors.
