It was initially an exclusive release to that device without proper touch controls (it had hardware buttons/joystick) and pretty rushed out as a demo to be shown at E3.
Then it was never explored back until years after

Explicitly Pocket Edition was an initial exclusive release on Sony's Xperia PLAY (for example the red wool here on your hand becomes sort of brown)

The Sony Xperia (or at least one of the Sony phones with included gamepad) that was a partnership release device had issues producing the red from the rose in its screen, it was too saturated.
