Newcastle's castle was built in 1080 by William the Conqueror's eldest son Robert Curthouse. It is by no stretch of the imagination a "new castle"> Geordies should stop living in the past. Boody, Chesvegas

This is appalling. Other people have covered this much better than me, but the extent to which the list is discriminatory and othering is so horrible. It must be possible to work out which school this is... It's giving off "faith" school vibes for sure.

RIP the boundlessy great Steve Cropper. With the MGs, he helped invent the sound of Soul. Later, his skill and feel was sought out by John Lennon, Neil Young, Paul Simon, the Blues Brothers, Rod Stewart, everyone. The man wrote Dock Of The Bay, Soul Man, In The Midnight Hour, Knock On Wood...

1 week until #SC25
3 bits of advice:
1. Prioritise shoes for comfort not smart.
2. Find/force downtime during SC. Enough talks/meetings/receptions done well is better than lots rushed/tired/etc.
3. SC is about people as much as (or more than) technology.

It nearly went horribly wrong with the flight out of Manchester delayed over an hour, but thankfully made my onward flight by the skin of my teeth. No drama from here on please! #sc25

I WAS in Lyme Regis recently and there was a sign that read Do Not Feed Me', accompanied by a photo of a scrawny seagull. That's all well and good, but there were literally thousands of the fuckers flying about, and they all looked the same. How was I meant to know which was the one in the photo? Rupert Deering, Dulwich

Ha ha, I've not seen this before. Magnificent. It's the "Fuck Everything, We're Doing Five Blades" of autumn. No higher praise...
Absolutely this.
THERE'S a lot of negativity about Artificial Intelligence, but I for one think it's fantastic and the best thing for the future of mankind. Prepare, humans, for utter submission and slavery. The computer is infallibleblblblnghrt error 104 Al Gorritham, Silicon Valley

I DON'T know why people say "it's not rocket science" as a means of explaining how simple something is. Rocket science is fairly simple itself. All you have to do is make sure that the thrust the engines produce is greater than the weight of the rocket and off they go. "It's not getting an appointment with your GP" would be a better phrase, as this is virtually fucking impossible. Tommy Tanksworth, Crewe
