I built this airplane. I also test-flew it and flew it all over California afterward.

"Empathize with stupidity and you're halfway to thinking like an idiot." I really, really miss Iain M. Banks. When my library's available digital offerings are a desert of AI-generated SF bodice-rippers, I dive back into Use of Weapons or Excession while I wait for my holds to come up.
Next up with the full formation of Defiled Industrial [Graphite and Wraith] at Tangent Gallery
It also wasn't 3 hours of self-congratulating cinematic masturbation.
Some of the best club nights are weeknights, which have an uncanny ability to distill a more contributory crowd. If you’re in #Detroit on Thursday March 26th, check out Corruption at @tangentgallery313.bsky.social for some massive #EBM and #industrialmusic goodness.

I guess the 20-year pop culture cycle eventually comes for us all. But I think my 2000s were very different from these 2000s
I’m going to get heat for this, but Daft Punk’s ‘Around the World’ would have me spilling launch codes on the 2nd or 3rd play. Maybe 4th, because I’m a true patriot.
We watch, and we are always there.
If I can smell you and we’re not slow-dancing, you’re wearing too much perfume.
I have found the Alien, Terminator, Vader, and Humungus of bar snacks: the Philly cheesesteak egg roll at Oak and Stone in Bradenton, FL.

So let me get this straight: We're turning the USA into an exclusive gated community with a terrible HOA, restrictive covenants, and expensive dues, then shipping everyone who parks a vehicle in the driveway overnight to a #McGulag thousands of miles away. It's so clear now.
A while back, some pundit was throwing shade on all the latest tech trends and when he got to 3D printing, he said “we’ve already got a 3D printer, it’s called ‘China.’” Not anymore. Might be time to get a 3D printer.
As long as the ottoman remains no less than six inches from the edge of the chair, getting in and out can be accomplished in a single catlike move. Grunting with exertion of core muscles is optional.
One of the refreshing things about #bsky is this: Once I've finished reading what I'm interested in, that's it. I can stop. I don't have to sift through maliciously curated chum to find out who and what I've missed.
We're watching this nation turn into Gilead. Not that Gilead, the @stephenking.bsky.social Dark Tower Gilead, because the world is most definitely Moving On, and the meanest, most dislikable characters popping up in those stories are attaining positions of power they really shouldn't have.
We're moving forward on everything we can before the US dollar stands with the ruble, the Zimbabwe dollar, and the Weimar Deutschmark as the next example of a failed nation's currency. Look at it this way: Nothing will ever be cheaper than it is right now.
TFW you have something clever and witty to write, then forget it completely while you're navigating password reset.
I loved Snow Crash. It poked fun at cyberpunk without being outright parody. Even the funny parts were thoughtful, because in 1992 or so, you could look at HOAs, megachurches, the rise of corporate sovereignty and a vestigial US government and go "yep, that tracks."
I like how "go get" is in quotes. Sounds a lot like "fix the glitch," or "solve the problem."
OK, this is great so far. There is little to no #enshittification present just yet.
