If he gets a bump at the end of his incision, this is common. It's the disolvable knot not quite disolving. It'll either slowly disolve or work its way out.
You will probably need to help him remember when to take his pain/other meds. I needed to make a chart since they all had different schedules.

Be sure he gets up and walks around several times a day. Follow the surgeon advice for how much. Recovery goes quicker when he gently pushes himself. But don't overdo it.
He'll need a cane for when he graduates from the walker.
Use the walker like a tv tray by sliding a shelf through the top of it.
Get several of those grippy arm extender things. One for every floor/area you hang out in. He's not going to be able to bend over for a while and even after, they make picking things up much easier.
If your couch is low, adding a stack of blankets to where he sits will make getting up much easier.
My husband has had both hips replaced (separate surgeries) and had done amazingly. LMK if you want any helpful hints.
Yeah, AO3 has to list people by their birthdate to keep them straight.
To make a baseball eating a hockey puck: Crochet a hockey puck with a dent in it. Crochet a baseball with a hole in it. Stuff the baseball but leave room for half the puck. Stuff the puck into the baseball and sew it in. With yarn, sew teeth on the baseball going into the puck at the dent (in red?)
Which ones did you expect?
Just curious, is there any Will Smith (hockey, Sharks)/Will Smith (baseball, Dodgers) RPF? Searched on AO3 with no luck.
Hockey players would pay it to visit them.
So in what circumstances would you use the first vs the second?
In Heated Rivalry, Ilya uses the casual version. But his love is anything but casual, so is it more like "I love you" vs "I'm in love with you", or is that a different phrase? Under what circumstances would you use one over the other? Thanks!
Awesome, TYK! And Happy Anniversary to you and @traceynick.bsky.social ! ❤️❤️
Okay, the question is about the phrase "I love you". According to google, there's the "standard" "Ya lyublyu tebya" and the "casual" "Ya tebya lyublyu".
@ziusik.bsky.social Hey, can I pick your brain about Russian grammar?
As long as you don't eat red or purple ones, they should probably be okay.
Heated Rivalry vid rec. This one'll get you in the feels. ❤️❤️

I wonder if people who do a lot of color-based crafts (sewing, beading, knitting) are better at this than people who don't.
Like I would ever give up the opportunity to hear a thefourthvine rant!
I haven't even watched the show yet, except for the (many) bits/commentary I've seen on youtube! I've only read the first three books. I can't wait to see everything in its total context.
It's so weird what hooks someone into a fandom. I haven't had a real fandom for a really long time. And here I am, a 60 year old woman who is not particularly a fan of hockey, getting completely sucked into Heated Rivalry, a story about two twenty-something hocky players. But I'm loving it.
I'm 12th on the list for The Long Game, so maybe another couple of weeks for that. I also put a hold on Heated Rivalry so I can reread it. 30th on the list for that one.
