A photograph of beautiful Dunorlan Park in Royal Tunbridge Wells. Blue sky with little fluffy clouds sits above a landscape of trees and a glassy boating lake. In the foreground grass stretches out. In the middle of the the photograph, a man wearing a red top, black shorts and white trainers is sprinting in front of us. He goes on to be the first finisher at Royal Tunbridge Wells parkrun. The photo combines movement and stillness and is really rather striking.

Thank you to the 60+ people who joined us for last night’s parkrun social in The Royal Oak. It was lovely to see so many people and put more names to faces.
Let’s do it again some time.

2. It's almost our birthday! Next Saturday marks 12 years of Royal Tunbridge Wells parkrun. There will be cake, there will be pacers to help us chase PBs and there will be the usual warm welcome from the parkrun community. We can't wait to celebrate with you.

1. Tonight it's one of our irregular evening socials. Come along to The Royal Oak from 7pm and find out the names of the people you see every Saturday. We all recognise each other but very few people know names, so this is the perfect opportunity to say hello! We've an area reserved at the back.

2 scenes. (a) parkrunners relaxing on the grass - standing, sitting, chatting- after completing their 5k. (b) view across the lake, with trees on a small island reflecting in the still waters. The sky is blue, and some trees are showing fresh, light green, spring leaves

A photo of a lot of people spread out in a crowd, all running or walking from left to right across the picture. In the middle, most prominent in the picture, a woman has her thumbs up and is grinning (and looking especially cheesy, her words, not ours). This is the start of Royal Tunbridge Wells parkrun in Dunorlan Park.

A photograph taken in Dunorlan Park, Royal Tunbridge Wells. The top half is a beautiful, big, blue sky. Then we have a dark line of trees, a glimpse of glassy lake, a long line of parkrunners running, jogging and walking, then almost the bottom half of the picture is lush, green grass. It’s a beautiful, calm view.

Given the problems many of us had uploading results yesterday, I wonder if there may be more to add if any events decided to wait and try again today?

For some of you, this link will work: www.parkrun.org.uk/royaltunbrid... for others, it's going to show a page error, but we promise the results are in and you'll get your finish times soon.

We'll share the numbers and results again when the official photos are ready. For now, here's a chicken.

Thank you to everyone for joining us, we know there were 307 participants and 48 volunteers, but gremlins in the system means we don't have access to all the numbers at the moment...

Happy Easter Saturday parkrun and happy return to the summer course to us all! RD Erica particularly enjoyed making that announcement and hearing the cheer from the crowd...

We waited until after lunch so you’d know this wasn’t a joke, it’s Very Serious Business. We need more volunteers!
Marshals and close down helpers are once again in short supply. Please will you email us to volunteer?

We have an official sweet treats statement. It’s definitely got nothing to do with the European Kit Kat heist or regular volunteer Ross.

Definitely not. Heartbreak Hill is just as heartbreaking at the end of lap one as it is in lap two.
