If you don’t understand the difference between calling out the howling hypocrisy of people that fund, support, pass and sign legislation making LGBTQ+ lives illegal and kink shaming, you need to sit down and think harder.

When Ms. Graham’s secret is revealed, we should guard his closet? Nope.

…then there’s some sort of horizon, or maybe perspective, I have that they don’t.

It’s my bit of a boon snatched from envy. Maybe I’m better at ‘looking and thinking’ than I am ‘living and doing.’

If you’re out of step, the world looks clearer but you become blurrier…

Regardless, feeling out of step is deeply melancholic and the limited catharsis I can pull from that melancholia is that if the people in the me-world are both fully conscious entities independent of the me-world they’re currently AND somehow living in it, with ease or struggle…

…and I wouldn’t get online and post about if I didn’t think someone out there would understand what I’m talking about…

When I see the people in my me-world, in my life at large and in my presence in the moment, living a harmony that they can’t hear, I can’t help but envy them the present-presence they access.

It’s all in my head, obviously; everyone feels like an outsider looking in, sometimes…

Every now and again (and even more so, as of late), I feel like I’m out of step with the world I inhabit.

Not the whole world; I feel the zeitgeist like a wind at my back. No, I mean a narrower me-world; one bounded by the limits of my own perception and my capacity for distinction.

Text exchange win of the night:

@czkhdoad.bsky.social :
“I love your big fag.”

Me (reads): I love you, you big fag.

Wrong or right, both make me happy.

The best thing about Shokz bone conducting headphones is that I can go the furry rave and not have to listen to the music… I can listen to this instead!

I wanted to share the context because w/out it, it’s easy to come to conclusions about the clips significance in isolation.

He rambled about nothing & lied through his teeth 90mins; that’s disqualifying enough w/out needing to invite speculation into something otherwise.

I hope that helps! :-)

I agree, I don’t think the context makes him look any better.

It’s not *that* the clip is bad, but *why* the clip is bad that shifts w/ context; our reason for critique changes & that seems important given ambiguity of the clip.

And, I also agree that nothing OP said was false.

I agree, he still looks like an asshole because he is, lol. The entire speech is an embarrassment... because he’s an embarrassment.

As expected, OP was more interested in appealing to emotions & engaging deceptive imagery persuasion, than they were in sharing facts w/ context.

They blocked me before I could finish my thread, haha.

Here’s what OP posted, what I posted on their thread & the outcome.

See my thread for more.

I agree. He’s a disgrace to the Presidency and a danger to the US, the world, & democracy.

I just concerned by posts of him out of context because of the risk of misinformation spreading.

IMHO the strongest arguments & strongest opposition comes from challenging him & his policies on the merits.

Definitely! Pres. Trump has been a disaster for the US & for the entire world. He’s dangerous & his ideology is hateful.

IMHO, meaningful criticisms of him, and his administration, shouldn’t be made by posting clips of him out of context.

OP seems not to have agreed, haha

tldr: Be on the lookout for misinformation, disinformation, AI, and DIP.

Also, @ryanmcbeth.bsky.social, if you ever wanna chat US foreign policy w/ a civilian wonk & economist (who worked in Fed Govnt & is currently in academia), who’s a Foucault reading gay furry leftist, I’d be honored. 😜

I don’t always agree w/ Ryan; we had radically different experiences working in Government, but he is a knowledgeable expert, well sourced, & I suggest you give him a follow.

And to prove his bona fides, Ryan is a Newsmax contributor I genuinely like… and I feelings about Newsmax, haha.
