We know this isn’t about immigrants, it's about our constitutional rights to speak out against cruelty and injustice. And it's about our right to have a country that invests in us, instead of attacking us.
While Congress debates a bill that would give ICE $150 billion more to continue their disappearances, they’re also considering gutting healthcare, education, housing and more. All while they’re using taxpayer dollars to attack people who have spoken out.
This weekend has been a reminder that WE, the people, power this country and that when any one of us is attacked, people across the country are ready to show up to defend one another.
ICE’s disappearances and kidnappings impact all of us, separating parents from their children, pulling teachers and teachers from schools, workers from their jobs, and neighbors from their communities.
