It's actually not ironic that the new Animal Farm movie is selling shitty merch, considering what George Orwell's equal disdain for socialism has inflicted upon us all over the years.

The cover of Action Comics #111 depicting Superman spinning the Earth on his finger over a background of stars as the silhouettes of a camera camera crew film him from atop a yellow moon.
Although in all honesty this cover appeals to me much more. This is one of my absolute favorites.

Every day that I have to read something for work or for organizing is a day that I have to put off reading TOMORROW IS ALWAYS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFE by the inimitable @teganoneil5000.bsky.social. Each day I'm able to read that, though, is a day worth waiting for.
It's so funny when people are like, "adapt or die!" re: creatives using AI because, you know, generative AI is heating and polluting so much that it's likely we will all literally die if you keep using it to make shitty art.
the passive voice store was visited by me and you were known by everybody there
Panel from an old comic I have since lost (on the internet) displaying an extreme close-up of someone in a blue star mask thinking "This skyscraper is full of nazis. I'm going to tear it down."

NEW EPISODE INCOMING!

An underappreciated part of what makes Marx so often difficult to read is not the heady concepts nor the intricate analysis. It's the fact that Germans put their verbs at the end of the fucking sentence.
Panels from a Green Lantern strip in Action Comics Weeklyby James Owlsey and Tod Smith depicting the Green Lantern flying over "a Middle Eastern country" and claiming that the two sides fighting (shown here as "rioters" throwing things at heavily armed police) each have a "valid claim to the land."

This is not just one comic book nerd's opinion. It's actual factual science that's backed up by hundreds of years of historical evidence.
Never ever in the history of the US have capitalists *given* anything of benefit to the workers. That's literally antithetical to what separates them from us. The Democratic Party is a party of and for the capitalists, and regardless of their rhetoric, it's against their interests to help us.
