I’m rereading this fascinating 4-year study of teen readers with book-love-community.mn.co teachers this month. Such an important book for middle and high school teachers.

How Gen Z Came to See Books as a Waste of Time Young people might be responding to a cultural message: Reading just isn’t that important.

Interesting take on why many students have stopped reading. The clear way to ignite regular, engaged reading is known by teachers: time in school to read at their own pace, choice in what they read, & access to many, many books.

It’s about love…what we love to read is as individual as we are. ❤️
