Dan Barker's Easter challenge to Christians is to write a "simple, chronological narrative" of what happened between the resurrection and the ascension without omitting any details.
Christians: can you do it?

“He was so peeved, in fact, that he allegedly changed his travel plans so he could go to the Capitol to make a whining, eight-minute video in front of the offending slab.”

When the government plays favorites with religion, someone always gets excluded.
This is exactly why church/state separation matters.
It protects everyone, including the religious, from being sidelined by someone else’s theology.

AG Uthmeier is flat wrong. The First Amendment protects religious freedom, not taxpayer funding of religion.
You don’t get to rewrite the Constitution to privilege Christianity while excluding others.
That’s not freedom. That’s favoritism and it’s unconstitutional.
This is the kind of speech Christian nationalists claim Muslims are giving in America.
In reality, it’s coming from them—and it’s the real threat we’re facing.
Good riddance to Pam Bondi.
Her tenure was marked by attacks on church-state separation, and a steady push for Christian nationalism from the nation’s top law enforcement office.
The Constitution demands equal justice — not religious favoritism.
“There are no atheists on top of rockets” is a slap in the face to the countless nonreligious scientists, engineers, and researchers whose work made the flight possible.
She worked 40–60 hours a week helping build a multimillion-dollar ministry. She was never paid.
Now she and others are speaking out about alleged exploitation, financial misconduct, and spiritual abuse inside Sean Feucht’s empire.

Tax-exempt status is a privilege, not a right.
If an organization or church wants to play partisan politics, it can — but not on the public’s dime.
Long live the Johnson Amendment!
God isn’t using Trump.
Trump and his enablers are using God as a prop for power, profit, and control.

FFRF is announcing our interest in the new god known as "Bast 2."
Its "cute little whiskers" and "soft fluffy ears" have drawn the attention of FFRF staff.
We are leaving the decision to open comment. Please let us know if we should hop on the Bast 2 train.

Huge win for the First Amendment 👏
We are glad to have helped secure this ruling: Arkansas cannot use government power to promote one religion while shutting everyone else out.
The Constitution demands neutrality — and the court got it right. This monument must come down.
Our legal team, working through @ffrfaction.bsky.social, accompanied WI Gov. Tony Evers this morning during Evers's veto ceremony. Gov. Evers vetoed several anti-trans bills that would have flown in the face of decades of scientific research.
We stand with science over dogma.
A Texas district court just dismissed the challenge by the National Religious Broadcasters to strike down the Johnson Amendment to the tax code that prevents 501(c)(3)s from conducting direct political activity.

This decision ignores the reality: conversion therapy isn’t protected expression, it’s abuse dressed up as counseling.
The Supreme Court just struck down bans on conversion therapy for minors—recasting a discredited, harmful practice as “free speech.”
Religious ideology is once again being used to override protections for vulnerable kids.

Just like President Trump’s so-called Religious Liberty Commission, which Patrick chairs, this committee isn’t about protecting religious liberty — it’s about undermining true religious freedom.
Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick's 'religious liberty' committee is a thinly-veiled Christian nationalist effort.

Nope. Church–state separation wasn’t “made up” by Hugo Black—it’s rooted in the First Amendment.
The Founders had lived under government-imposed religion and wrote the Constitution to prevent it.
Protecting religious freedom means keeping the government out of it.
If these guys are getting in, the bar must be so low we’re all getting in — even the nonbelievers.
Congrats, everyone. We made it!
An anonymous Department of Defense source characterized the environment as "terrifying," noting that personnel working under Hegseth fear being punished or fired for failing to embrace his Christian nationalist worldview.

No Gods. No Masters. No Kings.
That “quiet revival” of young people flocking to church?
Turns out it was just bad data.
When the numbers didn’t match reality, they didn’t question the narrative—they built a movement around it.

He’s outraged about "secular socialists" wanting to "take Christ out of Christmas," while cheering on leaders who strip compassion, humility, and mercy out of Christianity itself.
Or as he put it, "Do you know that God also is a God of war?"
Religious liberty isn’t about pushing religion through government committees—it’s about keeping government out of religion entirely.
This looks less like education and more like a plan to redefine “religious freedom” as a license to impose beliefs on everyone else.
