We welcomed Chana Wiley with Columbus Safety Collective, who discussed their efforts to reform emergency response in Columbus (initiative on the ballot on May 5). Check them out here: https://cbussafety.org/

Our friend Will Easton shared info about and passed petitions for Our City, Our Say, which seeks to reform Columbus City Council elections around a district-based system.
CAP member Sarah-Jane Workman provided a exciting updates on Friends of the Sawmill Wetlands, which our organization has supported.
And finally Sarah Ingles for Columbus City Schools came by to promote an upcoming Columbus City Schools meeting at East High School to discuss the future of our schools (April 16 at 6pm)
Our next meeting will be a happy hour at El Vaquero sometime in May (TBD) and be shre to save the date for our summer cookout on Wednesday, June 10. More soon!

CSC has put an initiative on the May ballot seeking to create a city-wide emergency response that would allow trained social workers, behavioral health pros, peer supporters and EMTs to respond to certain behavioral health emergencies.

Last night we welcomed a packed house to hear from the three candidates running in the Dem primary for the Ohio House District 7 seat.
We heard Zach Rossfeld, Michaela Burriss, and Ukeme Awakessien Jeter discuss topics including education, immigrant rights, and housing costs. Election day is May 5!
