Sources say that if Kash Patel cannot stop binge drinking and spending taxpayer dollars on his personal travel, Donald Trump is prepared to fire the highest ranking woman at the FBI.

"Because of an editing error, an earlier version of this article misstated which day the New York Mets suffered their 11th straight loss. It was on Sunday, not Monday. Even the Mets cannot lose on an off day."
Two copy editors high-fiving so hard right now
And looking it up, I just realized the plane crash took place when Chase was flying to a show at the Jackson County Fair in Minnesota cc: @chrissteller.bsky.social
I love Chase. Their first album was great & if I remember correctly, they lost out to Carly Simon for the Best New Artist Grammy.
This is from their & final album (before Bill Chase & some of the band died in a plane crash). An underrated tune written by Jim Peterik

"The Rod Of Justice" works as a title, but is also sounds a bit like a 1990s syndicated action series starring Lorenzo Lamas.
Congrats! And on the upside, having a new kid allows you to opt out of all the parties you probably didn't want to go to anyway.
This sucks, although everyone I grew up listening to is dying off. I saw him live a couple of times and he was great
This could be considered an evergreen post, suitable for nearly any year
Honestly, I think I prefer the Mitch Ryder cover version
I think it will be a positive in the long-run. But I am going to get killed financially over the next couple of months
If I had the video skills, I would put together an extended mash-up video of Kash Patel clips combined with the audio of "Macho Man"
Especially when people realize is mostly upset because Trump isn't extreme enough
I think Brooks & Platner are two very different situations. There are options that aren't Brooks. Dems certainly don't need to be endorsing him
But if voters don't want Platner, then what's the other option? Voters in Maine seem to be saying while Platner isn't a great choice,he's better than Mills
I'm writing about it in tonight's newsletter, but so far it's the precise stuff you would expect to see from an outlet on X funded by tech people: stories about how the Space X deal is one of the most important things in history, how technology is going to make us all one big, happy village, etc.
I've never heard the phrase randemonium. But that was indeed the early vision of CNN. It was abandoned early on because of costs & the reality that not that many breaking stories were interesting to a wide audience
I wrote a piece last year arguing CNN should go full populism, which would work
It's also that billionaires believe the reason why so many people disagree with them is they've been indoctrinated by the press
It's a variation of the belief so many MAGA voters have that voter fraud must be widespread. Because everyone they know agrees with them. So how could they lose elections?
My favorite entertainment theory is that Stevie Wonder regained some of his sight decades ago, but still pretended to be blind because it would have damaged his career.
I think it's a combination of that and also the reality that you can only boost productivity so much if you're dealing with trade jobs. And as someone else mentioned in this thread, we've moved from grand exteriors with mediocre innerworks to complex innerworks & a functional exterior.
If you need a hard-hitting anti-Oligarchy media critic who works cheap, I'm ready.
Rubio is the Rahm Emanuel of the Republican Party.
The Evening Standard employed 364 journalists and staff when Lebedev bought it for £1 in 2009.
It now has 16

I am still busy with the "familiarize yourself with Sabrina Carpenter's discography" challenge
I am not a huge Kamala Harris fan. But everyone would have been so much better off if she could have had the self-awareness to run for Calif. Governor, which is what Dems there were asking her to do. She would have won easily. And there is close to a zero chance she'll win the Presidential primary
Great shirt. I'm buying one now. And I like spending @natepentz.bsky.social's money, so it's a bonus.
Part of the drive behind this is the incredible number of CEOs who believe much of their workforce is unmotivated and performing rote jobs that can easily performed by technology. It is a depressing expression of mild contempt towards their employees.
I'd like to report a case of possession. Apparently, Maroon 5 are now inhabiting the bodies of the members Of Nickelback

I'm jealous. I love Venice and there are some cool restaurants hidden in all the touristy stuff. Not always cheap, but great. Osteria Alle Testiere is stellar, but you have to book weeks in advance. Caffe Florian is pricey, even for coffee & tiramisu, but it's an amazing experience. Enjoy yourself!
