When did "on" replace other prepositions like "by" and "in" everywhere?
"It happened by accident" is now "it happened on accident"
"Waiting in line" (as in physically standing behind and/or in front of people) is now "waiting on line".
It's not just the netgens -it's creeping into boomer speak.

Same. The no-shirtsleeves would show up at their camping spot, over-occupy, party way too loudly, and not even stay the night. At least we got to laugh at them when their low-rider fenders got tied up with tree roots on departure.
Marc Garneau. I finished his book two weeks ago, had the chance to meet him and shake his hand last September. I've benefitted directly from his leadership of the CSA.
For many reasons, I think a national period of mourning would be appropriate. π¨βππͺ¦

Old guys playing a rich man's game, wearing expensive watches, complaining about giving their kids (a lot of) money a down payment because housing prices have outpaced salaries mostly due to a generation of these same guys pumping real estate. It's certainly not an introspective ad.
The reason I give my kids when they ask questions like "why can't [ smart speaker ] pause the podcast?" :
Patents.
The Sens are the Monty Python parrot. Not dead, just resting. They'll run the next 4 and Ridly Greig will hammer in a slapper on an empty net in the 3rd period.

Curious: why no winter riding?
Skeptical of the inference that early voting favours LPC. That skepticism is based on how the US election turned out given very high early voting. But Canadians and Americans do tend to behave differently around elections.
Sharing this with a friend who genuinely believes federal ballots are scanned using a "Scantron" and the LPC is encouraging CPC voters to mark their ballots with pen because the machines can't read pen.
That CPC golf ad is... Bad. Y'all "had to pay for the down payment" on your adult children's homes. With the money you made from skyrocketing house prices set by people like you to find your Florida retirement homes? The same house prices your kids can't afford?
The US seemed to have extremely high early turnout in November. It was not the result we were looking for...
And screw the top button, Jackson.
Really proud of my nephew for stepping forward to take public office. He didn't get enough signatures to be an official candidate, but one day he is going to be rising in the House to say "Mr/Madam Speaker......."
I wonder where they stand on chainsaws in auditoriums?
(This is sarcasm: Of course we know where they stand... CPSC are good humans)
I'd buy the monthly plan but Canada is going to place a tariff on American vegetables.

Oh, you do not want to hear about the bat that grabbed my hair when 11-year-old me leaned back on the basement couch and disturbed the bat resting after its tumble down out chimney....
When I was 10, I found this book on my father's shelves. I may have read it 10 times over a few years thinking "nah, never but what if....."

This really is outstanding training. It may be the most immediately-practicable training I've ever taken, and it's extremely important.
