I'm a poor who went to state colleges and universities, and I don't exactly advocate for eating a lot of fast food or driving American cars either. My issue with those things isn't snobbery or elitism but is instead rooted in health/safety interests, along with a desire to not get ripped off.

This is a fascinating case because here the person was deported in violation of a settlement agreement barring the deportation of certain people who entered the U.S. as children without having USCIS first adjudicate their asylum application. That’s exactly what happened here.
It is really bothering me (understatement) that the message is “bring back that one innocent guy” and not “WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK SHUT DOWN THIS WHOLE OPERATION IMMEDIATELY.”
