Oh my god. I'm so sorry.
So this *isn't* really well preserved cherry pie?
I love it.
Completely fair.
Share with the class?
Absolutely, but I'd like to avoid feedback loops where already high-performing groups get grade boosts and easier class experiences.
That's awesome!
Chex-mix!
Specifically, what would be enticing enough to inspire friendly competition but not so precious that missing out would feel like a real loss or a penalty?
And ideally, there would be small prizes throughout the term, punctuated by a few bigger-ticket items at the middle and end.
Pedagogy question:
You're in an intro Latin class and your prof puts you into study groups. With that group, you'll 'compete' against other groups to earn the most points on quizzes/exams throughout the class.
But what would you consider a worthy reward?
Well, hello everyone.
You know, I'll take it.
Amazing.
Sounds awesome!
Live your life in such a way that when people name a shot after you, it's not one they set on fire.
Sometimes!
This is the common interpretation, I'm learning.
I've always read the X as a hug because of the crossed arms, whereas the O looks like a mouth puckered for a kiss.

Every other woman at this Greek gods themed NYE party: beachy waves
Me: let's find the least flattering hairdo Hera ever sported and recreate it.
My sympathies. Job market season a months-long physical and emotional gauntlet.
Wow!
Using only a restaurant, tell us where you went to college.
Just came across an argument that someone who collected dozens of sculptures removed from monasteries did so because of a spiritual affinity produced by the experiences of past lives and… no. Just no.
It is often pustulated that the plague of Thebes in Oidipous Tyrannos was based partly on a historical plague, possibly the plague of Athens. Examination of the wording of symptoms and remedies show similarities, leading many to think that Sophokles engaged in plaguerism.
BOOOOO
I hear this a lot, especially from folks who view my "History And Film" course as "unserious" or "easy," & find it really frustrating. ~50 million people have seen Gladiator; ~10 mill+ have played AC: Odyssey; 2 mill read Miller's Song of Achilles. Even Beard's SPQR seems to have been read far less.
Jesus. I'm so sorry!
