As was the case with last month's internet shutdown in Iran, a small amount of traffic continues to make its way into the country.
The country's recently-developed system of whitelisting enables exceptions to internet blocks for people loyal to the govt.
IODA shows the Internet in Iran has been cutoff from the global Internet since ~7:00 AM UTC. The regime implemented a similar Internet shutdown when Israel attacked Iran in June of 2025.

The IODA team completed a comparative analysis of the ongoing Internet shutdown in Iran to shutdowns during Bloody November in 2019, Women Life Freedom Movement in 2022, and the Israel-Iran War in 2025. Please read and reach out with any questions.

Everyone concerned about data loss right now should learn about the End of Term Web Archive, which I believe has been working on preserving federal websites for the past 8 months. The dataset you fear has been lost may well be here
Just an incredible project. Thank you to everyone involved

The Royal Navy is closely shadowing the Russian spy ship Yantar as it moves through the English Channel.
Seen here, the Yantar is flanked by the frigate HMS Somerset, guarding against what the UK calls "the growing Russian threat to offshore infrastructure in European seas."

The country of Greenland was offline for three hours starting at 04:10 UTC when Tusass A/S (formerly Tele Greenland, AS8818) was disconnected from the global internet.
Fun fact: Tusass is Greenlandic slang for "talk to you later" (probably after 07:08 UTC 😄)

Finally had some time to dig into the subsea cable cuts in the Baltic Sea that have gotten a lot of attention lately.
Due to the rich fabric of connectivity in the region, the loss of the two cables caused minimal disruption.
However, here are some subtle BGP impacts I was able to identify. 🧵

Russian intel / sabotage ship Yantar is smack on top of some of Europes most important comms cable in the Irish Sea.
We know this because she put on her AIS for 4 minutes (ergo, this is a show for an audience).
Last seen a few days ago with an oiler and a frigate. Visual and AIS.
