This was a sunset from Herculaneum, Italy, with Mt. Vesuvius lurking behind us. We spent the day before at Pompeii and that day in Herculaneum, awestruck by history and pondering the fragility of life. A great way to say goodbye to 2024 and embrace the mysteries and wonders of the new year.
