I live in an area of Canada with many "snowbirds" and so many are rethinking their long term plans at the moment.
There is a very credible threat that the country with the most powerful armed forces on the planet will take military action against Canada, and Danielle Smith believes that we are at risk of a "national unity crisis" because...it's too hard to get pipelines built. Utterly beyond parody.

We took all three kids to the polls to make sure we got there but I admit I'm not hopeful in our riding. The things I've heard from church leaders in my town the last few years are disheartening when it comes to government
So much of pastoral care is just listening well. People need to be heard in their grief, their loneliness, their anxiety, their despair. Witnessed.
Exposing abuse is honoring Christ and protecting the reputation of the church. Covering abuse is spitting on Christ and destroying the reputation of the church.
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
During the pandemic, evangelicals told me that as a disabled person my potential death was an acceptable risk so they could gather for coffee break. The DnD community urged me to remember that my worth was in just being here not in what I produce. I think of that a lot these days. . .
