Manuel Zolchow strikes again and just published his 3rd PhD paper in Archaeological Prospection

In this paper, he applied 2D SH-FWI to field data of a dense seismic grid over a complex 3D subsurface consisting of settlement structures on the Chiselet tell in Romania.
Our PhD student Manuel Zolchow from the applied geophysics group at Kiel University just published his second paper in the Journal of Applied Geophysics:

I also cover the impressive results of the paper in this video presentation

The Tharsis region on Mars, captured on 8th March 2025, 20:16 UT with the C14 & PO Uranus-C under poor-fair seeing conditions flic.kr/p/2qQYtJT
First (filtered) light with the new Baader R610 filter of Jupiter on 8th of March 2025, 18:43 UT captured with the C14: flic.kr/p/2qZ3KoX I also imaged Jupiter with the Baader CH4 filter (19:12 UT): flic.kr/p/2qZ3j8K
I finally have some time to work through my planetary imaging backlog from March 2025. First result: LRGB image of Jupiter, captured on 8th of March 2025, 18:54 UT with the C14 & ZWO ASI 290 MM under fair seeing conditions. flic.kr/p/2r3j58G
A very quick 30 minute OSC imaging project with the C14 Hyperstar & Player One Poseidon-C during nautical twilight: the open star clusters M 35 & NGC 2158. Further details: astrob.in/pltlac/0/
Lucky imaging result of the Eskimo Nebula, captured with the C14 & PO Poseidon-C during good seeing conditions on the 6th of March 2025. Further details: astrob.in/2mkbe9/0/
While you had to hunt the faint galaxies in the neighbourhood of M 97 in my last post with a magnifying glass, the galaxies in the Coma galaxy cluster (Abell 1656) are quite obvious. Further details & raw data astrob.in/j19k8l/0/
Owl Nebula and friends captured with the C14 Hyperstar & PO Poseidon-C. During image processing, I recognized hundreds of small-scale galaxies lurking in the background. I highly recommend to zoom into the high-resolution APS-C image to discover those small showpieces astrob.in/2z7fjo/0/
Conjunction of the crescent moon with the pleiades during nautical twilight flic.kr/p/2qVgLRw
Based on the Jupiter data from my previous post, I created a short rotation movie in WinJUPOS. Further details: astrob.in/p5e358/0/
While processing the backlog of my C 14 data from this March, I (re)discovered some Jupiter data captured during dawn of Sept 22nd 2025 under (very) good seeing conditions. Further acquisition/processing details & stacked raw data: astrob.in/jf0q0o/0/
First light of my new astro-imaging setup, consisting of a Player One Poseidon-C, combined with my C14 Hyperstar. Further details regarding the processing workflow and a link to the stacked raw data: astrob.in/svao0a/B/
