Genuinely if I could pay money not to have to prove I am a human, I just might.
I already know, and a newspaper I read shouldn't need to.

bank.smile.co.uk tells you all you need to know about the Co-op Bank approach to production readiness
(Smile was the online-only brand for the Co-op, and is closed to new business – after all this internet thing doesn't seem likely to last).
You'll know that a micropayment system is successful when you can pay a $5 fee to collect your $0.04 royalties to date, and have them converted to real money that you can pick up and fold.
If what is built is explicitly open data / open source, the system can [be made to] incorporate a way to put a particular item into an appview, and have that available even if one PDS has gone away.
Wikipedia stays working even if one editor's personal hosting goes offline. A similar outcome.
Penguin. You know, like Ctrl, Alt, Penguin.
On some keyboards it looks like the Windows logo instead 😉
We have the same problem with Kubernetes' website. Must be hard to get right.
Very user friendly.
You can penguin-click the window for a similar menu, I think, even if the title bar is covered.
NVIDIA at KubeCon+ CloudNativeCon sharing that they're donating their DRA driver to Kubernetes, aiming to be a reference implementation for a real hardware driver.

The message reads:
“Something that people on this platform apparently need to hear, even if it makes them uncomfortable: if you like in a state that does not believe that transgender rights are human rights, you will never be a true alternative to Silicon Valley -- let alone the next one.”

77,000,000,000 USD to spend?
I'd start an annual, global prize for the team that makes the best integrated circuit (for some challenge) without relying on an integrated circuit.
3 (more) ways to start a track, that I really like
My Bloody Valentine – "Only Shallow"
Anne Clarke – "Our Darkness"
Samaran – "Paris Madness"
Chaka Khan & Rufus – "Ain't Nobody"
For a round grand you could also buy a second cable that would do the job just as well. It's foolishness to think that £990 would be well spent.
And even the cheap cable plugs into an Ethercon socket just fine.
Proper audio Cat 5 cables have Ethercon at each end, or so Neutrik would have you believe.
(and … Ethercon is actually useful, eg it's better at keeping water and dust away from where it matters).
ICYMI: Ingress NGINX is retiring in March.
In their TFiR conversation, Kat Cosgrove and Tabitha Sable discuss what this means for the community and why sustaining critical projects matters.
Plan your migration. Support projects you depend on.

That's, like, really soon. If you rely on this component and you've not planned to. switch, I hope that changes this week.
THIS week.
Sodium-ion batteries aren't especially exciting, and that's mostly good. I have some. You plug things in and power comes out. They don't – these ones at least – threaten to bulge and rupture.
Boring is what you want from batteries.
These are platform security controls so although they are labelled as dev, uat and prod they all need to go through production change management.
One day, life will imitate art. I feel sure.
On the one hand, genuinely impressive.
On the other hand, if this was the opening monologue from a movie, I would not expect the character with these lines to survive past the third reel.
📘 Cloud native stories aren't meant to be perfect—and that’s the point.
The End User Case Study Contest is about learning from real production experiences.

Setting up my Ubuntu PC to do sidetone ("I hear myself in my ears"), but only when I'm using the wired headphones: tricky.
Setting up my Mac to do sidetone, but only with the wired headphones: time for XCode, probably? Can be done though.
Trying it with Windows? I can't even.
