White liberals who blame Palestine supporters for Trump instead of the capitalist ruling class who propped him up and benefits from his presidency are just diet fascists, each and every single one of you.

I'm 46, and he bombed lots of innocent people in the Middle East, and his administration sponsored a coup in Honduras. As far as I'm concerned (and many in the global south), Obama is a war criminal like Bush.

I voted for Dennis Kucinich in the primary, stayed home in the general.

A 1975 news report showcasing the violence Israel subjected Lebanon to, prior to Hezbollah or Hamas foundations.

A 1975 news report showcasing the violence Israel subjected Lebanon to, prior to Hezbollah or Hamas foundations.

This 1975 headline reads "Israel passed through Aitroun...and the children were left scattered as body parts"

Aitroun is a Lebanese town. there was no Hezbollah in 75. No Hamas.

The same demons are in Aitroun again, burning it to the ground, like they burned Gaza...

"the left"

The people cheering for austerity and capitalism are not "the left". Just because you aren't homophobic individually doesn't make you progressive.

I'm trying to understand what you're meaning when you suggest the adaptation failed spectacularly in the USSR.. so I asked a clarifying question?

Carney must make cuts, not only invest more: former Bank of Canada governor | Power & Politics YouTube video by CBC News

Another former head of the Bank of Canada says Carney is not going far enough on austerity.

I dunno. Maybe it's the capitalists who are the problem.

Dawg you really should get out more.

If you think our military spending will allow us to defend against a USA invasion you are kidding yourself.

Also, what are we defending if we gut our education system, our postal service and more importantly our healthcare?

Are these not what we hold dear?

That's not to say they haven't been using military contracts and arms sales to turn profits. They just use private enterprise for that.

So the people who tell us that many people can't own things as a group, are advocating for many people owning things but only if they're employed?

So it's possible just not if you're unemployed or unhoused? What about if you're disabled?

Also, not to mention that people are generally fallible, and while that means mistakes have and can be made, that we should abandon our principles altogether and give up striving to re-obtain power, and succeeding better next time.

That's scientific socialism. Trial and error until success.

The struggles of social revolution don't immediately get eliminated once power is taken either. There are billions of people who live under capitalism and have only known it. Given that, many will oppose socialism until new generations live under socialist society.

Do you think that once power is won that capitalists and opportunists will stop fighting or subverting to upend social revolution?

I oppose viewing "dogmatic Marxism" as an enemy because some confuse it to justify voting democrats, or other bourgeois parties - rather than form a worker lead party entirely refusing to negotiate with capitalism. Capitalism is exploitation and ultimately cannot be negotiated with.

...to reduce and ultimately remove those struggles.

So while it's true we strive to reproduce revolution "the same" it's only "the same" in that the enemy is capitalism, and we apply local struggles to solutions that work for them locally.

It's as if people think that those who read theory will try to do revolution the way it happened in 1917 when how it happened was by working with those in struggle to ease their burdens.

The struggles of today will be different but they are struggles all the same and all we must do is help...

No I believe you're correct. I just think it's a bit of an ambiguous thing "dogmatic Marxism" suggests people can't reproduce revolution the way Lenin or other MLs who followed Lenin have done because conditions have changed; when ML is to analyse conditions and strive towards success within them.

What is scientific socialism if not adapting to material conditions and finding successes, criticism of failure and ultimately driving the working class towards successful social revolution?

15 hours ago 3 0 2 0

And Canada's ex pm is laundering that reputation, and ignoring it.
