So they finally got DMs. Took over a year and so far they haven't made a dent in amplifying a new platform worth competing with Twitter (currently X).

I keep getting emails about great updates to Bluesky, but I don't see anything changing. Still no video capabilities. Still no DMs.

Looks like 2008 Twitter...which isn't a compliment.

Bluesky needs to get its act together. If Elon starts charging for basic access, he'll lose millions of users who have no comparable platform to turn to.

And no, I'm not interested in Meta's Threads. Where are the DMs on Bluesky? Where are the video capabilities? Time to step it up.

The worst part of Bluesky is that the natural abbreviation is Bs.

I can think of three lame jokes right now that someone will end up using to defend other platforms based on that dumb little factor alone. It will get irritating.

Don't tell me you haven't thought of it too...at least once.

Do you think anyone is working on Bluesky? I mean a serious team that has a sense of urgency to put something out that will be at all competitive with other mainstream platforms?

I'm trying to decide the type of content I want to focus on here at Bluesky.

Student loan payments were frozen as part of the CARES Act on March 27, 2020.

It will be over 3 years without payments and the system hasn't collapsed and those lenders haven't gone bankrupt.

It's almost as if they could #CancelStudentDebt right now but just refuse to do so.

Rather than repeat myself, just accept this as an ongoing principle.
